Wandering around Frederick, I walked inside a historic house to find exhibits set up by one of the oldest historical societies in the country. Two friendly women greeted me and encouraged me to buy a $12 ticket to visit.
The bottom floor takes visitors through several rooms of art and history of Frederick County. Upstairs are exhibits about the actual house and a few other topics. Outside is a garden that hosts events.

Read moreWhat a lovely experience we enjoyed today! We signed up for a tour and were also able to see the museum and garden for the price of our ticket. The museum staff and tour guide were friendly and knowledgeable; the exhibits were well organized and interesting; and the garden was charming and nicely maintained.
The tour covered the art and architecture in Frederick. It opened our eyes to the beauty and details of the buildings and the art all around town.
