It is a jem of a place:) each time I go there the customer service is exceptional. It's the kind of "your all part of the loving family" experience you want in each of the shops, but rarely receive. I appreciate the knowledge they share for us beginners. If they don't have a product or specimen, they will find it for you. Down town Frederick would not be the same without them!! Everyone should want to support this store and it's owner. I was in from out of town, and stopped in this really cool store. Was telling the owner about a geode we inherited from my Mom (bought after her brother died for each of his siblings 35 years ago). Without asking, owner offered to give us advice about selling it and pricing if we sent him an email. We did, and he gave us a really good response regarding pricing for retail or eBay. Think he said he had the store 18 years, so consummate professional and helpful and honest. Thanks, we all appreciated it, and wish I needed some rocks. This was a beautiful shop for it's size! There was a lot of selection, however there were a few (very very few, honestly) items I didn't agree with the price on as I do frequent rock shops and such. Regardless of that, they did have a large selection that a lot of it caught my interest.
