Terrible place – definitely NOT to go there
I sent my son (2 years and 5 months old) to Kidspark yesterday. I visited there before. It looked OK when I had tour. But yesterday’s experience was really terrible.
As yesterday is first time my son there, I asked staff whether I can stay a little while. The staff said as they are in summer busy season and there are a lot of kids, I can only stay in lobby to watch. I saw my son joined a group on TV area (just behind lobby) where a teacher showed music and told story for younger kids (from 2 to around 6). A kid (looks much older than my son) tried to snatch toy in my son’s hand without any reason (or maybe because my son just unfortunately sit beside him). He pulled so hard that my son cannot sit on stair. I had to tell my son just give toy to him (otherwise my son may fall down the stairs). Then the teacher finally moved her eye from book to stairs and told that boy not do that.
In slide area, it was so crowd - lot of kids up and down. I saw two boys pushed a girl to corner of wall on top of slide. Then I heard my son cried - he was hitted to fall down on his face. But teacher was just standing before slide and watching – although I did not know what she was watching for. She neither asked kid to keep order nor did anything to let kid play safely.
I brought my son out there immediately. His face was blue on his left cheekbone, then turned red and now still bruises. I went back to Kidspark today, showed staff there my son’s hurt face and told her I want to file a complain. The staff said “you are watching here yesterday?” I said “yes and that is why I know exactly what happen and why it happened”. She then said after my son falling down, the staff hold him and pat him. I said “her job is to keep kids’ safe and prevent this happen”. And then the staff said she needs talk to owner and she walked to owner’s office. When she came back she gave me an owner’s name card and said I can email to owner if I like. I asked her why owner cannot talk to me as she is in office herself. The staff said the owner was busy on interview!
This is not a safe place. Teacher is not responsible. And they don’t care customer. They just keep kids inside a room and that is all. If you kid is not old enough that can totally take care of himself (herself), kidspark definitely is not that place you can send...
Read moreI brought my son here for several months. I had no issue until one day a Staff named Kristy was working at this location in Fresno. I picked up my son and she pulled him by his left arm really hard to the counter. My son was crying because of what occurred. I was upset and asked another staff why she did this to my son. She stated that my son wanted to climb on their play mountain and it was closed. A few weeks later I brought my son and Kristy was on staff again. I had. I had a Very bad feeling about leaving him at this location after what occurred already. I was reassured that he's fine and have it another try. Even though Kristy gave my son a dirty look like Great he's here !! I stayed and watched for a bit he was playing and not by Kristy. I even went back in after I left to check again and he was playing in the center area. Reassuring myself he'll be ok. After a few hours, I went back to the Fresno location and my son was asleep on the floor. The next morning I noticed he had a bruise on his left eye and bruises on both legs. I did NOT drop him off like that but was returned to me bruised up. I was severely concerned that this occurred so I met with the director Katie. Katie was really rude and defended her staff instead of understanding what occurred to my son... I demanded a explanation and review cameras but she denied any assistance to investigate the bruises on him. I told her I was filling a complaint and the restrooms at this location are also disturbing to me. The kids use restroom in front of everyone, kids and staff which is really gross. At the end of discussion with Katie (director) she told me the facility wasn't a fit for my son. Please don't bring kids here. This facility staff I s unfit, unsafe, rude staff, denial director, and many concerns with the location for any child to attend this Fresno location. My son will never return...
Read moreBefore I go into it, I just want to be clear that I did read & understand the contract. Though I feel that although they say they can try & work with special needs children, it’s not the place for them, if your child needs “one on one attention” as they call it. If feel like we should have done a trial day instead of us paying the registration fee just to find out that my child isn’t going to be a good fit for their facility 2nd day in. I understand that they need to follow certain rules & criteria, but it seems as if they want the child to be as independent as possible. I’ve never experienced a place call me & tell me to come pick up my child because of her behaviors. Granted I know she dose have some behaviors but the way they were describing it, didn’t seem accurate. If you are not a parent with a special needs child, then you have absolutely no clue how hard it is to find good help. I thought this place was really going to be a great place for my child, but I am really disappointed. They said they tried but I don’t feel like they really did after 2 days. Just a heads up! Look for a place that will really value you & your special needs child & will really put in the...
