I would highly recommend avoiding Ashley Furniture in general, but especially this Fultondale location. Our sales agent, who now no longer works there, lied to us and ordered the wrong parts for our couch, and even when we questioned their drawing perspective on the document, they reassured us it was how we wanted it. After a month of waiting, we saw the mistake they had made during the delivery process and refused delivery. We called same day and went to the store to resolve this but this led to even more waiting on our part with no follow through from their Store Manager. If I had not been persistent in calling them, they would've ignored me and kept the product as well as the money.
Eventually the Assistant store manager tried to help us by saying they would waive the fees and only charge us an extra $200 delivery fee despite this fault being on their part when their sales agent misled us and continually misled us when we questioned what they were ordering.
Finally, the Assistant store manager told me to call back by today for a word on a resolution, I did. The store manager told me to hold on a sec and almost immediately, in true Ashley Furniture customer care fashion, transferred me to their Tuscaloosa store location, which is a normal store and not a corporate or dispute location.
Do not order from these used car sales men. Remember, if it's their fault, they'll say people mistakes but foot you a bigger bill whether you decide to keep the order active or cancel it. Very unreputable people to deal with and I'm shocked they even have positive reviews at all. Save your money and avoid big box locations like them
Update: If you do cancel your order with this company they will not automatically refund you and keep the product and the money. This particular store manager is pretty rude to deal with and believes he is above helping Customers especially if it proves any type of hassle which explains his lack in issuing a refund in a reasonable time. This then requires you to deal with your Bank to assist you in getting said refund and even after a resolution they will not give you priority let alone actually issue the agreed upon refund despite still having the money and product and recognition of the cancelled order. You will have to continually reach out to them in a nightmare process as they are not very good on follow-ups or customer escalations. Me and my husband purchased a $1800.00 dining set for our new home. I agreed to pick it up as we were unsure when we would close on our home. I picked up the set from bessemer warehouse and the table itself was re-wrapped because I was told it was mis delivered to another client but no damage and wrapped back up immediately. Chairs were all in unopened boxes. We unwrap the table and to our surprise the top was cracked and starting to peel. Also one of the rivets pulled completely from the chair leg making it unstable to sit in. We immediately phoned the store manager who requested pictures and I emailed directly to him within 3 days of us picking up the furniture. This was August 2022 and we have been back and forth with no resolution to date other than last email sent december 13th stating my request for equal swap was denied but they would do repairs in the shop and someone would be in touch with me in 5-7 days. They must have meant 5-7 months. With this type of customer service I will never refer or shop at this location again. I am currently speaking with an attorney and will pursue in small claims court as this is completely unethical. We were in here over an hour telling Brittney what we wanted. She had a pleasing personality and was so skillful and patient with us. Even though we changed our minds several times because she kept showing us so much beautiful furniture. We came back a week later.The management and staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we pleased with our purchases. I want to thank Ms. Brittney, Management and staff for a most exceptional shopping experience of a lifetime. The furniture she helped picked out is so beautiful going in our new 6K square foot home. Kudos to everyone here. We still need to furnish for one more room and we'll definitely be coming back next week. I wiill be recommending Ashley Furniture and staff to all my friends and family.
