Five Guys — Restaurant in Fultondale

5 Guys is a red and mostly white, not too big, no frills restaurant, that serve a no gimicks or tricks, really good, burger and fries. If you are looking for a bunch of special named, premade combination burgers, you are in the wrong place. You choose a regular hamburger (which means thick), "little" hamburger, cheeseburger, or either with bacon and all the usual fare, lettuce, tomato, onion (grilled or cut), mushrooms, for no additional charge. You can even add A1 or BBQ sauce. And then fries, large, regular, small, which they over heap in your brown paper bag. And I don't want understate the fries, they are simple but great in there own regard. Everything is hot and fresh. Also hamburgers are not the only thing on the menu, they also have option of a kosher hot dog or grill cheese. I've had both and they are great as well. It's Five Guys so it's going to be higher on price. The food quality is good at this location and consistent. Service, while there isn't much to do service-wise, is fair but nothing amazing.

One thing that has become annoying is that the last few times I've been this guy keeps rolling out multiple trash cans one after another. I realize trash has to be taken out but does it have to be done when there's clearly several families trying to eat. It's very loud and since the whole store has hard tile floor and they take out three or four cans it's just really disruptive.

Update: 7/10/18 So the food is still good here and consistent which is more than I can say for the majority of restaurants in this area. The milkshakes are really good and honestly the best around here. An area for improvement is to please turn the music down. When I go here to eat I would like to enjoy my meal with some music in the background not booming like at some...

We stopped in to get one member of our party a burger since they did not like the other place we had stopped. The service was very fast and everyone was unbelievably friendly. There were a lot of please and thank yous and just a general feeling of people who enjoyed their work. The burger was said to be delicious and too large to finish in one sitting. Two meals were made out of that sandwich. One of the things that I like most about this establishment is that it is always well lit and the windows are not covered with posters so that you can still see inside easily. I like being able to go in and place an order and check on the car that we have left in the parking lot. This is a very good place to eat. Oh, I almost forgot.
