An actual solid tea shop in the midst of underwhelming boba franchises!
Found this place through a friend on Instagram, and learned that the brand is renowned in Vietnam and where they take their aesthetics from for their decor. I’ve never had the original so I can’t compare of course, but I can compare to the boba scene in SoCal.
I don’t drink boba regularly, but I’m confident I’ve tried many more places than the negative Nancy’s here that still try to game the system getting zero ice for 2oz of more tea. In Orange County, I’d say only a handful of places actually have any tea taste to their drinks (without ordering plain black/jasmine tea) let alone have any unique drinks. We got the longan and lychee lotus teas and while those aren’t the most unique fruit drinks to the scene, the punch is beyond what we’ve had. Easily the heaviest flavours I’ve had for a fruity tea; the lotus tea was intensely floral and concentrated even after diluting down from the ice (this is why they don’t give more tea!). The lime in the lychee tea rounded out the sweetness, while the longan was more forward in its flavour.
The drinks are priced fairly well despite the complaints IMO, ~$6 for a 16oz well brewed tea is fairly competitive unless you’re looking at places such as Boba Fiend or Banh Mi Che Cali, and if you are then it’s time to reconsider your palate.
While it’s a bit much for me, I can wholeheartedly recommend the drinks here and see them pairing exceptionally well with Asian cuisine. Definitely...

There’s quite a wait on weekends it seems. Took me an hour to order and get my drink... but the drinks are so small, smallest I’ve seen for a $5 drink. I get this is their standard size but it’s not gonna fly here if you’re charging socal prices and giving ant size drinks.
There’s a lot of ice too but that’s not the real issue, it’s the minuscule size of the drinks. I was done with it after a couple sips. Granted it was a very good peach black tea, possibly the best I’ve had, but is it $5 worth? Hmm.
Also have a few other drinks I got that I’ll be drinking as well but I can already tell hype will eventually die and people aren’t gonna think twice about revisiting when other places have equally good drinks at the same price with twice the amount.
I get there’s serious inflation but this ain’t it.
Update 4/8/22: so they have bigger cups now but they automatically order L if you don’t say anything and they still put too much ice. After you take ice out of each drink, it’s basically only half the cup left. There’s less of a wait now.
Update 5/7/23: drinks are bigger since they opened and I enjoy all their drinks. My recs are cloudy coffee, signature coffee milk tea and the...
Read moreMy favorite is blended coconut coffee. Not many places offer this drink and when they do, it’s not blended so I knew I had to try it here.
Upon walking in, this space is deep! Every space is utilized. Starting with the cute patio with miniature chairs and tables to resemble Vietnam street cafes. More tables and sofas throughout the shop.
They also sell snacks, pastries, their own brand of tea and coffee.
I find their coconut coffee interesting because it had this coconut whipped topping like the cloud series that you see at other cafes. I wasn’t a fan of that and scooped it out.
Their drinks remind me of Starbucks from all the whipped topping like a Frappuccino. Phuc Long is also a popular chain in Vietnamese like Starbucks. When you order, they give you a pager and it’ll beep when it’s ready.
Parking in this area can be tough with street parking and during events but there’s a small lot if you’re lucky to find...
