This park appears to be a large crushed rock parking lot converted to support RVs with water/electric/sewer hookups. It sits right on the Garibaldi harbor next to docks and boat ramps - absolutely ideal if you love to fish and bring a boat with you and aren't interested in being in a pretty park. Lots are wide enough to back a boat trailer into alongside the RV, and there are lots of RVs there just like that. ||||The area is very pretty and right on Tillamook Bay. The park's services are fairly basic - small laundry (but clean!), bathrooms, presumably showers tho we didn't look for them, and good wifi. It isn't very attractive itself - all crushed rock with just a 4' square planter with somewhat bedraggled plants at each site to add some color. Lots of grass/weeds have grown up at many sites which doesn't add much to the appeal. Nothing for kids and no pet area, though across the road there is a grassy stretch on the harbor which worked quite well (and even had poop bags and trash cans). ||||Worst aspect is the lumber mill next door. Fortunately we were at the far end of the park away from the mill, which when operating is a constant rumble and banging. When we were there they seemed to be running 2 shifts from about 6AM to midnight. We were far enough away that it wasn't too loud so we could sleep thru some of it, but I wouldn't have wanted to be in one of the sites right across the road!||||Not sure if we would stay there again - certainly a nice area, but the blah park and the lumber mill most likely would have us looking elsewhere (unless we ever...
Read moreIt was busy with dine-in and take-out orders. Since it was Garibaldi Days Festival weekend they offered a limited, but still large, menu. Although both of our orders were wrong it was OK. Onions were left on one sandwich (easy to remove) and a large tri tip salad was brought instead of a small (no extra charge). The salad had a ton of meat on it. The food was very good. It was a lot of food and 2 people could have easily shared either one and been full. With all the business of the day it took about 25 minutes to get our order. The service was OK but a couple of waitresses seemed to be new. Overall it was a nice lunch. Cost of the salad was $10, the...
Read moreGot there during hours (9-6 posted), no one around. Couldn't get bathroom or internet codes. Train/shipping yard started loading at about 5am so if you want to sleep in, forget it. Probably could have stayed without paying and no one would have noticed. Also, they need to remove Good Sam sign since they don't honor that anymore. Would give 0 stars if I could. UPDATE: Got a call from park staff and they were very gracious and helpful. Changed my rating from 1 to 4. Btw...they do still...
