✨keep the snarky response to the issue with YOUR staff to yourself. I do not want a resolution, this is purely to let others know of the experience I had. Doesn't look like I'm the first one to comment on the piercer either✨ since you didn't listen, I will add more. Funny thing was even though your piercer had a shit attitude and spoke of things (medical conditions) he really has no LEGAL grounds or education to advise people on, I'd be more careful. There's a reason Doctor schooling is more extensive than piercing. My DOCTORS recommendation (the one in charge of my medical care and knows all my medications, history etc) should never be made out as wrong by someone who is not trained in that field. Period point blank. There are conditions and etc they do not teach you in tattooing/piercing. You are not medical professionals and should not be arguing with the advice of medical professionals or putting down said medical professionals when 1. You know nothing about me 2. You know nothing of my condition/medication. The fact that you can't see that, tells me EVERYTHING I need to know about you as a business owner and overall human. Regardless of all of that I was not turned away, I was the one who refused to sign and walked out. Nice assumption though. Also nice assumption that I would step back into your hole in the wall poor service and honestly bad reviews around town via word of mouth ESPECIALLY with female clients. Wouldn't even come back if I had to. You're not the best, you're not the only. Humble yourself 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I mean you're the VERY last shop, didn't even know you existed until my boyfriend recommended you. Won't need to refuse anything because as I said in my original comment, I have no desire to go back. Not that good of work anyway and I mean both tattoo and piercing. Y'all stay safe tho. I wish you the best of luck on your endeavors I was told to consult with my doctor before getting my piercing when I went into the shop the first time, the piercer was nice but kept it short I go back after consulting with my doctor to get a simple earlobe piercing. I told the piercer (same one that I met with when my boyfriend and I went in) what the doctor said and he immediately started making me doubt not just my decision but my doctor's recommendation. Immediately had an attitude about doing the piercing, asking me if I've even felt where I wanted to get pierced to see if it was soft tissue. When I told him I did he asked if I was sure. He completely talked me out of a piercing that I KNOW I would've been fine to get. When I do go get my piercing, it will not be here. His interaction with me when my boyfriend was there vs when I went alone was night and day. Will not recommend this piercer to any females looking to get piercings. Definitely not someone who should be in a customer service business, you should not be making clients doubt their decision or argue with what a licensed DOCTOR has to say. Bad way to do business, glad I didn't spend...
Read moreVery clean place in the heart of Gaylord, Michigan.
From the moment that you walk in, you'll be greeted by friendly staff, great music, people laughing, awesome things to look at, art and clothing for sale, and the all familiar buzzing sound from a few people getting one of a kind tattoos.
This may be a small older town, but don't let that fool you. I've been to some tattoo shops from Los Angeles California to ohio and Michigan and this is one of the highest quality shops I've seen. My last tattoo was worth the 3-hour drive.
It is a touch pricey, however as the sign says "you get what you pay for", and I agree. Don't settle for Bargain Basement prices on artwork you're going to have the rest of your life. Art galleries are not filled with Dime Store photos, your skin shouldn't be either.
**Another reason to go there is it seems like they always donate causes such as breast cancer and other local charities.
The reason I feel that this review requires this much of an extensive amount of info, is what you'll find out when you walk in.
Schedule now and tell them Reviewer Rick from Grand...
Read moreWell, damn! Went in to scope out the shop my partner and I have heard pretty decent things on. Originally we were excited, as tattoo and piercing enthusiasts/supporters (as we have quite a few of both). only to be met with disinterest and cold replies from, What is now known as, the piercing 'artist ' who seemed MUCH more interested in whatever they were drawing/coloring in on their phone. My partner asked about portfolios for the artists available and to make an appointment while we were there and was shut down with: look on Facebook then find/ give a picture that you want, schedule an appt, ....ok. have a good one. (Lucky to receive that minimal kindness, imo) partner Didn't get to ask much more. I asked about a price on a piercing and, once again, was met with 'rather not' attitude, no help, no looking up from said phone, nada. It's honestly super disappointing to us as we figured of all places we would be met with a BIT MORE acceptance and appreciation. Needless to say, we will just go back to Ann Arbor or Mackinac. ...
