I love exploring and purchasing from shops in the many historical Mountain towns of Colorado. When I stepped into the Stonehenge shop an older, robust, man behind the counter, frowned at my Husband and I. No smile. No welcome. When I approached him. He literally snarled and turned his head away from me. I seriously wondered if ALL the Historic Georgetown shops treated minorities this way. I found something I like upon entry. I would NEVER support the ignorant indignities of this shop . . . especially after reading a post from another minority. Luckily "My Lovely Company LLC" quickly restored my faith in the Historical shops of Georgetown. Maria Henchan was awesome and her products are Outstanding! I wish giving NO STARS was an option. That's what this place really deserves.

Horrible experience with my family today. When we first entered, it was a charming place with a lot of amazing art! My whole family was really excited, but when I had a question about a specific price of art she was very neglectful. When I tried to get her attention for the 5th time she finally turned around and yelled, “i’m busy!” “I just wanted to know how much this is” I said. she ignored that as well! Then she started giving dirty looks to my whole family! I tried not to get that mad but I could tell she was making my children Scared. My wife and I decided that we should just go, but when I signaled for my family that we should get going. She came from behind the counter and yelled in my face, saying that I was being really rude and started stomping violently on the floor. That’s when we and several others in the store got out of there. BOTTOM LINE: DON’T SELL YOUR ART HERE AND DON’T GO...

I was upset by my experience on August 12th, 2019. The art is beautiful, however I do feel bad for the artists who sell their art in the store. The woman at the front desk is very rude. She would not help me, and snapped at me whenever I asked a simple question. I was about to purchase a $400 piece of art, but she treated me horribly and so I left before purchasing the art. If the artists see this, please have a conversation with her or sell your art elsewhere because your art is beautiful and I hate to see sales negated due to costumer...
