From the moment you walk into Pho Bay, you're welcomed by the warm, comforting aroma of simmering broth and fresh herbs. A place where every bowl is crafted with love, tradition, and an unmistakable attention to detail.
Google maps shows that it opens at 11AM, however as of 10/01/2024 it does open at noon. The broth here is nothing short of divine. My girlfriend and I were on our way to the restaurant walking, when we were just one block away and could already smell the broth!
The noodles are silky smooth and cooked just right, providing the ideal texture to complement the broth. And you can’t forget about the Vietnamese coffee! If you’re driving off of highway 70 in seek of some caffeine, make sure to stop by this family-owned restaurant!
The service is top-notch as well. As a family-owned restaurant, you can tell that with every ladle you take, there is definitely attention to detail. Sam made our overall experience very enjoyable! She gave us recommendations on what to do within Georgetown as well as neighboring cities!
She made the overall experience warm, casual, and inviting—a perfect setting for enjoying a bowl of pho on any day. It’s a place where you can relax, unwind, especially within a historical town like Georgetown! The prices are also incredibly reasonable for the quality of food you’re getting, making this spot not just a treat, but an absolute steal.

Read moreWe drove past 3 pho places and over 50 miles to go to what was our fave pho place for my husband's birthday. First issue: out of sake completely. Had 2 pineapple drinks on daily special board, but we were informed no pineapple anything. Nobody erased items after telling us this, just left board with nonexistent drinks. Not horribly busy as operating at low capacity for covid. No wait for a seat. Apps took a while and spring rolls were dry as if left out too long before service. Pho was very good. Waiter didnt even wish happy birthday, more less a drink or dessert for birthday... then, after worst experience ever there, our plates are stacked neatly for removal. Forever... then guy shows up and takes plates but not bowls.... then we are left there awaiting a check so we can pay and leave for over 10 minutes... then we have to wait for them to come take cc. As someone who was in service industry in past, I generally tip 25 to 30 percent for great service and 20 for tolerable to good...I even top more to make up for covid capacity cut servers are suffering. I tipped a dollar. I have never ever tipped that shitilly but my kid worked in restaurants starting at 13 and never screwed up that badly...I was her hr manager so I would have known it if she did...husband getting another birthday dinner tonight last night...
Read moreI drove so I came to George town pretty late, I only can be here just 5 mins before their closing time. But because we called ahead to ask if they close the kitchen yet, they still let's us in. The size of the large bowl is huge, biggest pho bowl have seen in my life. Price is so affordable. Lots of meat option, and thái tea is good, not the boba. I used to work in boba shop, so boba in here maybe because it is the last batch of the day so it is super chewy. But the 2 guys working there, seem like the owner are so helpful, talkative to other clients (big family with kids) who came before us and had time hanging around while we was super focus on finishing the dishes as fast as we can so they can close and go home early. So nice when opened the back door for us to come inside right from parking spot without walking around to the front door. The bar, the light and the view, I bet in the morning, the view is just so scenic, I don't afraid to dine out in the cold to look at that mountain view. I'm Vietnamese, I can guarantee that this is the spot to go for...
