Visited 8.28.21. We had a custom pizza made up so that my wife and I could get exactly what we wanted per half. The pizza crust was EXCELLENT! I suggested to the cook that they make a garlic knot or similar out of the dough, as it was that tasty. My wife and I shared the Caprese salad which too was excellent. The salad featured a large (4oz or so) ball of fresh mozzarella cheese, kalamata olives, campari (sized) tomato wedges, and a tasty balsamic vinegarette dressing. According to the staff the restaurant had only been open for a month and a half, but they kept the name of the old restaurant that occupied the space before them. The menu (when we were there) was salads, pizza (whole pie or by the slice), sodas, Italian Sparkling waters, and cupcakes. The staff did say they were planning to expand the menu soon though. The pizza (whole and/or slices) are made to order and take about 25-30 minutes to prepare, however the pizza is definitely worth the wait! They make the best pizza in Colorado! I have already told several people about this gem, and plan to...
Read moreIn 2006 my family was on a road trip to Washington DC from Los Angeles. We stopped in Georgetown and had the Mart Man pizza at Mountainbuzz pizzeria. At the time only one employee worked there which was Mart man himself. It was one of the greatest pizzas I had. After that meal we got back on the road only for me to realize we were going the wrong way. I told my dad. He said he was sure we were going the right way. After a few minutes on the highway and passing a couple of familiar rocks, I made a deal with my dad. If I was right and we were going the wrong way, then he would drive back to Georgetown and we would have pizza. We had another Martian pizza for dinner that day. We also got to see the railroad and mines the following day. I still think of Georgetown and Mountainbuzz pizzeria to this day. I’ve recommended it to all my friends who happen to drive through the Rockys. If you’re ever just passing through make sure to stop by and get a slice. You won’t regret the small town vibes and the absolute best...
Read moreWhen it comes to the perfect food indulgence, nothing quite compares to the delight of a freshly baked pizza. Mountain Buzz Pizza is nestled in the heart of Georgetown, CO and it has captured our hearts (and stomachs) forever.
Choosing the best pizza is obviously subjective and depends on personal preference, but it's not just the food. It's the atmosphere that the owner, Griffin, brings to the table along with his beautiful family. Enjoy a taste of the beautiful mountainous scenery, a bite or two of his delicious pizzas while listening to some sweet island / reggae music. Service is amazing!
We don't eat pizza like that and our kids are very picky eaters, but with every single bite is a mouthwatering journey from the crispy crust to the rich tomato sauce, topped with a medley of flavorsome ingredients. We couldn't get enough!!! If you're in town, just passing through or WAAAAY out of the way, it is 100% worth the stop.
Good food Good vibes Great people
