I have a lot to stay about this place. Only reason it gets 1 star is because it has to. Joe is a terrible sales man.TERRIBLE. My fiancĂŠe and I (both 25years old) went to look for a couch July 3rd during some good holiday sales. We were going to shop for a whole bunch of furniture for our new apartment. (We only and will only be getting the couch from there). We walked around the store a couple times looking at things. Joe stayed close as he could watching our every step around the store. We left and decided to go back the next day on 4th of July to buy the couch we had liked the previous day. We again walked a loop around the store to make sure that was the one we loved. Joe again stayed as close as he could watching our every move. I would have rather him come up to us and asked if we needed anything rather then just watch every step we took. He did not need to follow us silently around. We then went up to him to tell him we wanted to purchase the couch his reply was âoh you finally picked somethingâ. When putting in the order I needed to find the new address and delivery information really fast in an email. Joe was getting annoyed that I didnât know the information right away. Apparently I wasnât pulling up my new address of the place I hadnât yet moved into fast enough and he thought he wasnât going to make a sale. He kept trying to tell me to just put my old apartment or a parent or something down for the delivery address. Joe then tells us to go up to the front for payment to which we were greeted by the front desk lady with âuh may I help you?â Then she gave me major attitude because some of the numbers on my card were rubbing off(normal for an old card and still very readable and can still be used). She seemed skeptical after that on wanting to sell to us. She then checked my Id to confirm my identity and age. She said the price and we said we wanted to finance the couch. Joe IMMEDIATELY interrupted and said they donât do that and they could do $400 right then and then pay the rest before the couch came to be delivered. My fiancĂŠ and I had done our credit checks the day before when we were there and had MORE than enough for a couch. They didnât even offer to check the credit or anything, just said they did not finance there. At this point Iâm so flustered and annoyed, I just say okay. Pay the $400 and leave annoyed we couldn't finance a big purchase like that. The next day I tell my mom what happened and she was FLOORED. No furniture place she has ever been to has acted that way and denied financing without checking credit scores. We have never bought furniture before so I figured it was normal and they were just being difficult because we were young. My mom ended up calling to speak to manager, Frank, who told my mom that we 100% should have been offered financing and that a majority of people finance no matter what. Frank was unsure why we were told they didnât do it. He told us we could go back in and he would fix it and allow us to finance the rest of the couch. I was to mad at the situation to do that plus I live 45 minutes from this gilroy location. So basically Joe wanted the extra good holiday sale commission off our sale so he told we couldnât. Which was a 100% a LIE. THEN A month or so later I called to pay for the rest of my couch and I was informed that Joe scheduled our delivery for a day (Saturday august 31st) that they do not even deliver to my area on and the women on the phone didnât understand why or how he would even schedule it for a Saturday. I asked her if we could change it to Friday (the 30th) instead and she said no because they were full for deliveries that day and we had to wait till the following Friday (September 6th). We sat on the floor for the first week of being in our new apartment. We love our couch but we will NEVER shop at this Ashley...
   Read moreWell unfortunately we bought some furniture through them and Joe is by far the worst salesman ever and a typical Asian going word for word off a script and saying he is well within his estimate and dragging his feet and not doing anything to expedite our shipment. You would think to make a customer happy he would get on the phone with logistics and maybe get our stuff delivered as soon as possible. But no. Typical Asian style he made his sale got his money and doesnât care about customers satisfaction. I highly do not recommend buying from Joe or Ashley.
So more of an updateâŚ.. we had to go through âcorporateâ and the main corporate office in Arcadia doesnât deal with issue at the franchise stores in California and will just dismiss you and transfer you out to the local âcorporateâ office in the area. They proceeded to tell us that our order would be here on the 15th as per a manager and we could pick it up and they would wave the delivery fee. Well itâs the 15th and main corporate and local corporate didnât know where the truck was at 10am. Waited till 11am and the truck is there but only with 1 item out of 3, that we were told everything was in stock and would be here on the 15th. Well everything is not here today on the 15th as promised and they are pretty much sayin oh well and oh we are sorry. Sorry doesnât fix me having to take the day off of work or with taking one of my deliveryâs trucks out of service off of its route for me having to do their job!
So now another update. So the manager called me on Monday the 18th saying the last 2 pieces of our order would be here on Thursday the 21st and I could pick them up from the warehouse because otherwise they canât make deliveries the same day or over the weekend and they want to charge you $200 and have to sit around all day waiting for them. So I took the day off for the 21st and scheduled a truck to take care of it. Well guess who called me today saying there is a driver issue with their trucks to bring stuff up from Southern CaliforniaâŚ.. the manager. So now I have to take Friday off and schedule another truck out of service to do their job. I want to know how the hell a 10 hour trip at worst takes over 4 days to make this trip. So hopefully none of you order from Ashleyâs! They have the worst and most awful logistics, management and sales team! If I could leave negative stats I would. I know I have told my family, friends and customers as well as my fellow racers that I race with around the globe and in the nation how horrible of a experience...
   Read moreMy husband and I have been looking for a new set for our family room the set we have now is an Ashley set we have had it for years and love it but it resently gave out and so we are really wanting to get another Ashley set , so we have been looking at one from the Gilroy store and there have been people that have come up to us and asked if they could help us but on Tuesday 4/10 we went into the Gilroy store again and Joe Rondez came up to us and asked to help us well he truly did take time to help us I have been struggling not knowing if the piece I want will fit properly in my room and Joe told us just what to do to figure that out so we went home and did just that and now I know just what I want and will be going back to purchase it from Joe and thank him for all his time and commitment to excellent customer service!
