Comfort Inn Gilroy — Hotel in Gilroy

I always had nothing but good things to say about this place, always have 5 star reviews. This time I'd give minus 3. My only issue was lack of any friendlies by lady who runs it. I stayed again last night and when I got there, I had one towel. No desk chair, no water glasses, no coffee cups, no bathmats. I have a service dog, always have her. She spends most of the time in her crate. Last time they said she peed on bed but she was in crate I thought why would she lie? Now I believe she would. She checks the room now before I leave. It's always practically unused. Don't use bathroom for shower, always clean up and throw everything in trash wood off surfaces. Today I forgot a small container of dog food still in fridge and a paper bowl on floor with water. And I had some clean unused towels on floor near the bed. When she complained about towels on floor I told her I never even have any to start with, nor drinking glasses, coffee, coffee cups, and chair for desk. She the maid who was there too, told me I was wrong I did have everything! I yelled to ask the guy who was at desk last night! I never even got my AARP discount. I can't believe what I was being criticized for! The way most people leave the rooms never get that sorry of treatment! Eatlier At breakfast, I was holding the door open to little fridge while I poured some milk from the pitcher. She came over and told me not to leave it open. While I was yelling at maid to ask kid last night who had to bring me stuff cuz she was calling me a list to my face! Then owner lady said I can't stay there any more! Unbelievable! In spite of her attitude, I always really loved that place. But I wouldn't stay here if you paid me. I think it's because I have a service dog. I'm going to check with ADA about this kind of discriminatory action, and BBB. Then I looked at my bill and I never even got my AARP discount!...

I left a sweater and called the day we checked out to have them hold it for me until the following week since we would be in town and stay again. Our second stay we showed up at 8pm. The very very young man behind the counter said he didn't know how to check people in and we would have to wait for the old guy to come back. We waited for a little under half an hour. When we got to the room, we showered and grabbed some food. After eating we went to place our food in the fridge to find smelly leftover food in there. The bath towels looked rough and had stains on them. I always bring my own towels which is why I didn't notice the first time around. ( I forgot my husband's towel this time) We ended up sharing the one we brought. We bring our own blanket too so we can be comfy. I would suggest since the ones they provided do not look comfy at all. At check out I went to the desk to gather the sweater that was held for me the previous week. The lady wearing sweatpants with sandals said she would check with her staff. She came back seconds later to say someone already picked it up. Not sure how someone picked it up when I was asked all my information so they can place it with the item to hold. My fault for leaving it but I know someone didn't pick it up. Hotel is cheap but so is the service. Free breakfast was oranges in a fridge in the bowl. Orange juice dispenser not filled, cold coffee, and a granola bar. We ended our stay after one night an went over to the Best Western down the street, free breakfast included. They actually have breakfast. Would highly suggest going to best western instead...

I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND. The lady is extremely rude. (The cleaning ladies are nice and always find a way to help ),but SHE gets really mad at when people smoke, also when there are too many peole per room. (NO GUESTS). She SCREAMS at people and (I belive) is (low-key) racist.(HERE IS WHY). A friend of mine was at the (Free) breakfast area and they would not stop watching us. (They probably thought we would "take" something from there FREE BREAKFAST AREA!). Anyway, the whole time we were uncomfortable. I understand policy and rules, BUT HER ATTITUDE IS FAR TOO AGGRESSIVE AND RUDE. We were here for ONE NIGHT and it was TERRIBLE. ( I DONT KNOW HER NAME, BUT IF YOU GO IN, YOU CANT MISS HER) PS: We had problems with outlets.(I left my phone charging and woke up to an empty battery). That is not supposed to be something to worry about! Also the shower handle. (Pull and twist counterclockwise). We tried many times, but nothing. ( It was really late and we didnt want to say anything because we had to work again the next day.) This place was terrible and I wouldn't recommended to ANYBODY. (EVEN IF IT IS JUST FOR 1 NIGHT). The ONLY reason why this place has 2 stars is because the building is conveniently near popular grocery stores. When all is said and done ,(overall) , this place is just a waste of your money. Im sorry for the cleaning crew bacause they honestly try to fix any problem but no matter how hard they try this place is...
