Large room, clean. Good 3rd shift night audit desk, but the am desk girl was not very accomodating. I had been in a auto accident and had to extend my stay a couple days. I explained in the morning to just charge my card that had incidentals I swiped on 3rd party check in. She wouldn't and insisted I come crown. So I gimped down, mask closed in my room. I swiped my same card again and went up. slept for a day said Id stay another day and same thing again. I was in this trade at premier properties for many years. The desk could have taken the number as if i was booking over the phone. I could have just booked from my room but I was beat up and the reservations 800 # would book a similar room im sure but then it would be some ordeal possibly and the desk would move me. Ultimately if you are a true hospitality professional you would send someone or walk fo the elevator right next to the desk go up 1 floor and walk the 40 ft. and get the card. At least from someone hobbling away the day before wearing their t-shirt mask and as sparky as Nick Nolety chugging down Xanax with a bottle of ripple. I also did in fact have a bunch of covid test, all my vitamins, ivermectin and other covid "just in case" the vaccine didn't work during Omicron in Los Angeles, the most affected place on earth. Flying. No the desk girl made it clear she couldny ship any drugs. I would have had a postage paif fed ex box at the hotel in an hour and if the ivermectin (its for humans, like it has been since the 70s about 2 billion doses ago) was too radical to send, considering asprin would kill you 10 out of always over this stuff that has been safe for HIV patients after common food had limits. It was a little terrifying realizing I had nothing after getting off a plane and no test or HEALTH FOOD SUPPLIMENTS to pound down if I felt ill on top of feeling like I got in a car wreak a couple days before, and maybe would have not noticed as soon. I had put everything in a single zipped shut clear baggie for the airport . I was the one who left it, but to not be able to get a fed ex box that only requires dropping a ,much smaller, single, ziplock bag and pressing the lid closed, I would be be screwed if I needed help I think. Hampton is never this. Inland empire...
Read moreIf you find you've been given a room overlooking the street, immediately ask for another, unless you want to hear EVERY SINGLE CAR that goes by. I got a phone call and my friend asked if I could close the window because it was so loud, but the joke was the windows were closed!! The room was so frigid I actually started shivering when I took off my coat so I went down to check out the fireplace, which didn't work, and the "heated" pool, which was frigid. At the very least, that failed excursion gave the thermostat long enough to finally start heating the room after I'd cranked it up, so I popped in some industrial-strength earplugs to go to bed, hoping for the best. It was no use, however, as the hard mattress and street noise meant I spent literally the ENTIRE NIGHT tossing and turning in misery and even marveling at times at all the other bizarre noises rattling through the walls in addition to the traffic!! I finally gave up and went to get breakfast at 7am, which was the only redeeming quality of this place, along with the free tea and coffee station, although the water was cloudy and seemed better suited for a urinal--nixing the orange slices in the dispenser might help as they seemed to do more harm than good. I then returned to my room to shower, only to find I was unable to get any hot water to come from the tap!! D-: I was later advised that you have to turn the handle a full 360 degrees before you can get any hot water, but not until after racing through an icy shower and spending the entire day with a chill I just couldn't shake as a result. I tried taking another shower to warm up later, once I knew the trick to getting hot water (couldn't they just use faucets that maybe don't require special instructions??) but again found myself racing through as the only temperature options are evidently "scalding" or "freezing." This place perfectly embodies the addage, "Looks can be deceiving," as it gives all appearances of being modern, upscale, and inviting when selling you the room and checking you in, but then treats you to a parade of horrors throughout your stay, all the while quietly charging you $15 per night for parking, because what fun is running the old bait-and-switch without rubbing a little salt in the wound...

California was a visiting point for myself. Been here very briefly only to have come across the Hampton Inn & Suites (Glendale) as my flight is actually within a few days. With this being said I decided to take my business to this hotel for a mini vacation before I decided to depart only to have come across the worse customer service experience at check in. I have been an honors member under usually a governmental rate for quite some years now and defiantly would not have expected this. Especially having spent above $500.00.
On February 25th 2022 at approximately 12:08 AM I was personally checked in by the night audit by the name of “Clay”. I was not greeted in a warm welcoming manner at all, but in fact was greeted with “Last Name?”. I then proceeded to request my charge to be split between two credit cards, and the night audit “Clay” acted as if this was the hardest thing to do in the world, as he responded with deep groans, and mumbled things underneath his breath. Keep in mind the entire process for a split payment for my room took approximately 20 minutes. At which there was a point where I politely asked how long the process would take and was responded with “You don’t have to be here!!” I honestly still feel this was racially motivated as if I wasn’t a Black Man I feel this experience would have been the completely different as I witnessed this employee treat other white guests in a more positive light as opposed to myself. The night audit “Clay” entire demeanor was negative towards me as a minority.
What makes matters worse was me asking for the General Manager’s information. Evidence was collected as this entire encounter was recorded for my own protection. I have the night audit “Clay” on recording refusing to provide me with this information. This is not the kind of experience as a minority I expected at The Hampton Inn & Suites (Glendale). I will be sure this complaint reaches the right desk. Lastly, I will also make sure this reaches the General Manager to inquire if this kind of service is provided to all, or just those minorities that decide to spend our money in facilities such as this. Looking forward to your...
