Tom's Toys — Attraction in Glendale

Might be a nice store, but the customer service was disappointing and lacked transparency.

After being turned down by several stores that no longer offer gift-wrapping services, I was referred to this one. I also searched online for “gift-wrapping stores in Montrose,” and this store came up. Wanting to avoid another wasted trip, I called ahead to confirm that they offered gift-wrapping. The woman on the phone said yes—but what she failed to mention was that they only gift-wrap items purchased from their store.

That would’ve been an easy and important detail to share upfront—and would have saved me the trip.

When I arrived and explained I had just spoken with her on the phone, her response was indifferent. She repeated the policy without acknowledging the miscommunication. Even after I told her that other stores had referred me to them, she and the manager still turned me away with zero empathy or effort to help. It was disappointing to be met with such a lack of basic customer service skills.

We went this past Saturday (we being my grandkids and me). Let's face it, there aren't any toy stores anymore, which is a bummer for the little ones.

So I went here and Man, oh Man WOW they have all the good stuff!! Although I will comment that some of the Barbies looked... off. This place isn't cheap either, but thank goodness, they are still open. Bring your kids in and let them see the toys on the shelves and pick out the one they 'JUST HAFTA HAVE'

Kites, puzzles, Barbie dolls, all sorts of trucks and toy cars, Legos, stuffed animals, and plenty more.

There are also the coin-operated kiddie rides here...

I love this cool little toy store. I am from Utah, but every time I come to the Los Angeles area my kids insist I take them here. Tom's Toys has an awesome selection of old school toys and new ones too. Worth checking out. Also in a beautiful downtown shopping area with great food and sometimes live entertainment. Only giving it four stars because of the guy that was the cashier ignored me completely for about 2 minutes before he decided to help me check out. (I was the only...
