CityVet | Goodyear — Attraction in Goodyear

While I was away from home the apartments I live at were getting the roof replaced and unfortunately part of my bathroom ceiling fell apart and I wasn't sure if my cat got exposed to a bunch of drywall dust or not. So to be safe I was looking into some vets around the area, I found CityVet | Goodyear. After reading the reviews I decided would take my cat, Natasha, here. Due to how many great reviews I read and let me just say, they didn't disappoint! Ginger was super caring and when I lost phone service while on hold with her, I decided to go in person and she was very helpful and got me an appointment for early the next day. Sally was very sweet and helped Natasha feel less scared and more comfortable throughout the appointment. She made sure Natasha was felt safe and cared for. Also gave her lots of compliments and treats! Dr Hannah was amazing, explained what she was doing and kept me informed about the health of my cat. She explained that Natasha has a "kitty cavity" (not the proper name but I can't remember what she said it was) and she would need to get a tooth pulled. She explained that her cat has had to have 3 teeth pulled due to the same issue and that it was unfortunately a common occurrence. She said that Natasha is doing good and that my main concern for bringing her in wasn't going to be a problem. But to keep an eye on her for the next few days just to be safe. Overall I would highly recommend them!! Genuine excellence is a rarity but CityVets of Goodyear had achieved this with perfect ease. After being told by my own veterinarian they couldn’t see my ill cat and several other vet. practices in the area couldn’t fit us into their schedule. CityVets of Goodyear went above and beyond my expectations. Dr Hannah Elliot and her very compassionate staff were there for us every step of the way. I had read the reviews and was skeptical. I booked an online appointment afraid of being turned down again. However, I was not disappointed. A very short time after booking the appointment I received a call from Jessica. She was genuinely concerned about my fur baby and his symptoms. She suggested we head down as soon as possible to have him immediately assessed for a potential critical condition. As soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and ushered into an exam room. Dr. Hannah, Clinton and Melissa listened to our concerns. They put together several option plans to narrow my fur child’s illness. Being up front with costs and potential outcomes. The whole time we were there each team member exhibited the same true compassion and kindness I love about veterinary medicine of old days. Not the corporate push to sell unnecessary services. To sum my experience up, CityVets has renewed my faith in veterinary medicine. They have reached extraordinary excellence in my experience. We have found our new home of true compassion with CityVets. I most definitely will recommend this practice from the bottom...

I'm very thankful to CityVet for taking us in for a same day appointment. Our kitty, Artemis, suddenly started acting lethargic, hiding away (when she usually loves attention!) and wouldn't eat. We were very concerned so we woke up early to go to Urgent Care at ArkVets, who somehow didn't think it was important to mention that while they open at 7am, UC service doesn't start until 10am. We next headed over to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital..After waiting 3 hours (the lobby was completely empty when we arrived at 730am on a Wednesday), Artemis still hasn't been seen. I called around and luckily CityVet had an opening, and was able to see us same day.

They took us in immediately after arriving. Everyone from the front desk attendant to the vet tech to the veterinarian was so friendly and kind to both Artemis and I. You could tell they genuinely love animals and want to do what's best for their patients. The vet took the time to carefully check my kitty, explain possible issues, make recommendations for diagnosis and offer ideas of other things I could do to improve my cat's health. I didn't feel they were trying to push products on me or shame me for my current care practices, just offering education and ideas for an owner who wants to do more. They also carefully explained each diagnostic option, how much it would cost and what the pros and cons were for each. I want to thank everyone there for their compassion and caring during our time of need. I'll definitely be coming here again for...
