Potato Barn Unique Home Furnishings — Attraction in Goodyear

This is a very nice store with beautiful & unique items. Store associates are friendly and do not hound you which I appreciate. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because of the 3rd party delivery service they use. I On the positive side I received a text message within minutes of leaving the store. I was offered a delivery date of 2 days which was great. The text message also said I would receive a 30 minute ETA on the date of delivery & time of delivery was between 12pm to 4pm. The charge was $160. I live within 12 miles of the store. My piece of furniture was delivered yesterday. I never received a text with their ETA. At 3pm they arrived at my house. They had unloaded a piece of furniture that was not mine and brought it up to my front door. They did not know my name or my address. CJ (the delivery man) asked me 3 times what my name was and what my address was. This was odd since I assume he had to put an address into his GPS to find my house. I mentioned I never received a text from him to advise me of his ETA. He did apologize but the whole thing was somewhat unprofessional especially being asked repeatedly who I was. He asked me to sign the invoice but did not have a pen, so I went into my house to get one. Ive gotten many unique pieces from Potato Barn over the years. From furniture, to lighting, to artwork, to decor. They are all timeless and I get many compliments when I have company over. I love that if something catches your eye in the store, you can take that piece home with you that day! Associates are available, usually around the checkout desk or assisting others. No pushy sales people at this place! You take your time walking through the huge design floor and when you have questions find an associate. They also will have live musicians playing guitar and singing (always tasteful choices) which is nice as you sit on a comfy sofa trying it out. And a food truck out front from time to time. Love this store!

Potato Barn is an amazing store, the selection is massive and there are all kinds of unique items. Some of the reviews on Google are more opinions than fact. For the quality of furniture and the uniqueness of what you can find prices are very reasonable for medium to high end items. Everything in the store is quality or is unique. If you are looking for lower prices visit Ikea. Many of the larger items (couches, chairs) in the store are made in the United States including in a factory at the store itself and many are made with real wood. Where do you see that these days?
