I'm having a hard time making my appointment this year.

Every other year, since your Grand Island location opened, I have made an appointment to get a spiral perm for my birthday. My hair is long, as in just under the shoulder blades, and I always request gray rods. I realize this is a pain because it requires two people to wrap my hair and two sets of gray rods but, once finished the perm looks AMAZING and the curl lasts for 18 months!

On my last visit in October 2019, I set up my appointment. As per request from many instructors in the past, I let the receptionist know that my hair requires two wrappers and two sets of gray rods. That way the scheduler knows to schedule a helper for the student who does my hair. I did my part. The student who did my hair was not scheduled a helper as requested and the instructor on duty that day REFUSED to allow her to wrap my hair in gray rods saying my hair was too long. I've been getting this perm done this way since 1987, but what do I know, right! Anyway, we settled on a mix of white and purple rods. The perm was okay, it already looked too loose when they took the rods out but, I thought it would be okay. 6 weeks later, I had no curl left! I was deeply disappointed.

On another note, I drive 1.5 hours one way to come to your location. Between the perm, my time and gas, I spend roughly $225 to get my hair permed the way I want it done. To be as disappointed as I was on my last appointment is too costly.

First I want to commend the stylist who colored my hair on Wednesday! She was so kind and very personable she did a beautiful job. I was initially not thrilled with the color outcome (I wanted more of neutral or almost icy blonde and it was more of a warm caramel blonde) and herself and two instructors made me feel completely comfortable sharing my concerns and were able to fix it very quickly into a color that I absolutely loved! Definitely will be back. From the professionalism of the front desk and the personalism of the stylist and instructor to cleanliness of the salon everything was wonderful!

Saturday morning myself and five other girls showed up for formal hairstyles, they were prepared for us and extremely kind! every single one of us left happy with our hair in a very timely manner. Genevieve did my hair, as the bride, she did an amazing job it stayed all night long it looked beautiful. She shared that it was her first time putting in a hairpiece like a decorative gold band that I had put on the top of my head and she put it in perfectly it stayed in place and I was absolutely thrilled with...

People don’t understand what us woman want to do to feel pretty. I wanted to get a Perm. All my life I’ve had curly hair and at Elle salon they did my hair made me feel beautiful. I came in not knowing what perm to do . I had a budget didn’t have the money they wanted from me . They told me they can do something else for me than the perm I wanted that was $40. I told them I had a budget. They couldn’t understand what I wanted. Just pressuring me to do something else. I saw where they were coming from. But I felt stuck. What even hurt the most was she said she’s trying to get rid of that Afro. I felt in that moment people can so mean. And I started to cry and the girl that was going to do my hair felt bad and said I’m so sorry they said those things that was so intense. But it hurt my feelings and she’s told me she do it for $66 it was nice but I had a budget and hurt the things they said and put me on the spot and I didn’t know what to do.
