Let's start with the owner/manager (performing hostess duties) with her mask looped on one ear and the other side hanging free. We were seated fairly quickly by her.
Our interaction with our waiter began with him arguing with me about the caffeine level of dark vs light roast coffee. As we placed our drink order, we requested flavored creamer, which was finally brought to our table as our food was delivered (50 minutes after placing our order). During our wait, I inquired on three different occasions about the creamer and our appetizer and each time was told it would be right out. Finally our meals were delivered and I inquired once again about the creamer and appetizer. At this point, we were informed that they were out of the appetizer and the creamer was delivered about three minutes later.
After the food was delivered, the manager did come over and apologize for the delay in our food and lack of appetizer. (She was now wearing her mask properly, at least.) However, as she was apologizing, I watched two couples that had been seated after us, pay their bills and leave. Our orders were both standard menu items with no changes and from what I could see were similar to what the other couples had. After the creamer was finally delivered, no one stopped by our table until it was time to drop off the bill.
I've always had great experiences at the other Epic Egg (and previously Egg & I) locations, so we were beyond disappointed with this experience.
**This review is also posted on Yelp and the response that I received from Christy stated that she was taking a mask break while remaining beyond 6 ft from guests. This was incorrect since she was the one that seated us. That they don't have appetizers. Call them what you'd like, but our expectation was that the candied bacon that we ordered was while we waited for the rest of our meal. And that the time from placing our order until we paid was 40 minutes. I sent a text at 11:42 as we walked to the door of the restaurant, we waited less than 10 minutes to be seated, and exited the...

I was ready to burn the place to the ground—hunger gnawin’ at me belly like barnacles on a hull. But then Fabian, me brave and steady server, strode up without flinch nor fear. With the confidence of a man who's stared into the storm and laughed, he brought forth a plate fit for a pirate king: eggs scrambled soft and golden, jalapeños that punched harder than a broadside cannon, bacon crisp as a broken treaty, and a glorious melt of Monterrey Jack cheese that could make the saltiest sailor weep.
I took one bite—and blast it all!—me fury melted faster than ice in the Caribbean. That heat lit up me soul, the cheese cooled it back down, and that bacon—by the gods—was perfection on a plate. I slammed me mug and roared, “Fabian! What sorcery be this?” He just smirked like a man who knew he'd tamed a beast.
Five outta five skulls, no question. I came in ready for battle, but thanks to Fabian and that scramble, I left a humbled, well-fed beast of the sea. I’d sail through storm and fire for another plate.
Now bring me rum, and give Fabian a raise—or I’ll be back with...
Read moreEpic Egg is a table service breakfast and lunch restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. They serve a variety of entrees, but have more breakfast type options than lunch. Breakfast categories include, pancakes, waffles, french toast, benedicts, skillets and omelets. The lunch menu has 4 burger varieties, 3 salad options and 8 sandwiches. A surprisingly high percentage of their entrees have a Gluten-free option (add’l charge). On the vegan front, they have one breakfast skillet and a “very vegan burger”. Menu also includes day drinks (mimosas). The front entrance is a double door with good room and is level with the parking area, they do not have a door opener for those with limited mobility. I ordered the roasted turkey and swiss ($9.50). It was tasty, but not quite as hot as I would have predicted. The cheese wasn’t melted, but sprinkled inside. The flavor was very good. The turkey, apple and croissant mixed well together flavor-wise. I found the portion size to be adequate for the price. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Pro tip, come by for Kids eat free on Saturdays (1 free kids meal with each adult entree). Please “like” this review if it helped...
