Four of us stayed in the double King Suites room. I will write a narrative to fully describe this. We stayed on the 4th floor, facing Lambeau. What an amazing view! It's a huge full window view west toward Lambeau when you walk in. There is a small bathroom to the right. There is a very small desk to the left. There is a king size bed with a white down comforter. There is a closet with two plush robes to wear and slippers and also an extra warm blanket if you want. In that same room is a small fridge, loaded with things you can buy...beware. All costly. Also lots of liquor in a cabinet, also very pricey. The prices are clearly marked. We were aware and simply emptied out the fridge to add our few incidentals in to chill. When we left two days later we put everything back in the fridge exactly like it was. There are pull down blinds to raise or lower on the view day to night. It is spectacular! Then you walk through a doorway to another large bedroom, king size bed, closet with 2 robes with slippers , another extra blanket, giant windows here also with similar blinds and the same spectacular view west. There is also a balcony to sit on with another view to the north, mostly of the parking lot, but if it was warm out it would be nice to sit out. We were there when it was 5 degrees so we didn't at all. Brrr. There are two chairs and a small table on that balcony.Through that room is a huge bathroom with a soaking tub, two sinks, a separate stand up shower, and separate little area where the toilet is located. Also a large window with blinds that had a remote control. Ours didn't work and even when I asked for another, that one didn't work. Not a big deal as we were on 4th floor. I would skip the remote if I was this hotel designer. Apparently they are programmed by each room. One tv is in each room. The shower already has shampoo and conditioner and a body wash all in a 3 container attached within the shower.Hair dryer is in a bag. No iron, but there is a steamer. The floor is nice and solid and the hardwood look. There was not a garbage can in the bathroom. I had to get one from the first room which was fine. The heat worked great. The mattress is amazing, firm and very good for sleeping. We went to the bar way up on the top floor for some drinks. Very very nice and a cool lit up bar countertop. There is also a bar on first floor when you walk in that had a pianist playing. Very inviting. The Legacy is literally walking distance to everything Packer lovers need. Badger State Brewery, Stadium View, Lambeau Field, Resch Center, Anduzzi's, The Bar, everything. It stands right where Brett Favres Steak House used to be back in the day. The young lady working the check in when we arrived was so nice. So professional and polite. She also was helpful when I called to book this much prior, because I had questions, which she answered for me. I would not have booked it if it wasn't for her. The website does not describe the rooms enough in detail. I hope she gets paid well because she sure did a nice job when I booked it, welcoming us and helping us when we needed a new remote, etc. This place is upscale and was pretty costly, but it was nice to spend time with my family all in one setting and not separate rooms in a hallway. It seems a bit tight in the first room walking through, but we managed. This place has not been open for long, so I think they will get things more organized in time. There is also a spa but we didn't go. Also didn't get to the restaurant as we went out to a different spot. There is no pool or hot tub at this hotel. I have to say the best thing about this two night stay was the great sleep, and amazing view of Lambeau and location. Having coffee two days in a row with that view was so fun. I say try this place out if it fits your budget. I will...
Read moreUnfortunately, my experience as a guest at the Legacy Hotel did not meet my expectations. I have never had such poor service from sales representatives and receptionists, ever. I had my wedding at Lambeau and as a family friend of the owner I wanted to support her business by staying at her hotel, which is BEAUTIFUL. However, the staff made the stay exceptionally unpleasant. I hope for future brides they have a much less stressful experience. It is a lot of money to spend for an unpleasant experience. If my family hadn’t been friends with the owner, I know my stay likely wouldn’t have even occurred due to the poor (and lack of) communication from the Legacy staff.
First, when reaching out to book a room block my contact was unresponsive and would ghost me for weeks to months at a time. The only way I could get a response was going through the owner of the business. I still, after my stay, have emails that have still not been responded to from weeks before my stay.
Second, we called about adding early check-in the day before my stay to which the receptionist, Janet, told us no one was staying in our room, a penthouse suite, that night and we would be able to check in at noon. We arrived promptly at noon to which the receptionist, Janet, told us we did not even have a reservation. We gave her our confirmation number with our names on the confirmation and she said we were unable to check into our room due to her computer telling her someone else’s name was attached to that room. Once that was sorted out, she then told us we could not check in early despite telling us the day before we could. She said paying for early check in is only a possibility for checking in early, and does not guarantee being able to check in early.
Third, the penthouse has two rooms, the living room and the bedroom. The living room air conditioning unit was broken. It was an unseasonably warm weekend in October being 85 degrees and sunny so it was understandably uncomfortable in the room as it was hot. We stopped down at the front desk to which we were told they were aware and could not do anything about it.
Fourth, upon check-in we gave Janet our card we would like the rooms charged to as the wrong one was on file and she said it would be charged to the card we gave her at the end of the stay. At the end of the stay, all of our rooms were charged to the incorrect card.
I will say, the rooms are beautiful. You cannot beat the location. The bathrooms are insane. The bartender on 10/3 around noon was fantastic and very accommodating as we waited for our room situation to be sorted out.
UPDATE: Continued issues with the Legacy. I had prepaid for a room for my photographer and got confirmation from the hotel that it was prepaid and she wouldn't have to pay anything other than incidentials. However, they proceeded to charge my photographer for the FULL stay. Very disappointed. I wish refunds were available for this stay. Nothing met expectations. I would not recommend the Legacy to anyone...
Read moreThis is a very nice hotel overall with a few downsides. The rooms definitely have a luxurious feel, and all the common areas are very nice. The on-site restaurant is very nice, and features like the motorized TV that pops up from the bed frame are cool touches. My favorite feature was the water machine next to the ice machine. That's a rare feature in hotels, and when they do have one, it's usually in the gym.
A couple of things that prevented it from earning 5 stars for me were first, the noise. I spent two nights here and the sound proofing wasn't very good. The first night I was woken at 3:00 a.m. by my neighbors talking loudly and repeatedly dropping things. The sound was echoey and it sounded like they were in my bathroom. The door between the two rooms did not provide adequate sound proofing. Luckily I had ear plugs with me. During the day while I was working, I could hear every word of their conversation next door. The second downside was the lack of an iron and board in the room. There was a steamer, but I find them far less effective for getting a stiff wrinkle free white shirt than an iron. They've spared no expense at making this hotel fancy, but they couldn't include an iron? Also, no microwave in the room. I guess they just expect you to eat at the restaurant and not bring back leftovers from other places. Not a big deal, but a little inconvenient.
The biggest thing that bothered me was their refusal to accept my boss's company credit card, resulting in me having to use my personal card. At the end of the day, it's not the end of the world, but it was surprising when I've stayed at hundreds of hotels for work (I'm a pilot and travel a lot), and have never been questioned when using that card at any brand of hotel, even at other Wyndham partners. The card has the name of my company, and I was in company uniform. Really? I understand the need for companies protocols, but I also think there's room for common sense in this world. There's no need to inconvenience your guests and make them feel like criminals. I saw them doing something similar to another man a few hours later, and he was just as miffed as I was. Rules are rules I guess, but it seemed odd to me, and especially out of place with all my other experiences with the...
