If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. I have been getting my oil changed here for a few years, and with 3 different vehicles. The first being an old beat up minivan. Like other reviewers, I used to feel like I was constantly being up-sold things. Then I started coming here with my new car, a little VW, that was in much better shape than the van. No more up-selling. Then I got a newer VW, and again brought it here. Again, no up-selling.. So I guess what I determined, is my van actually probably needed the things they were recommending. But that is not why I rate them 100 stars. I have a 2012 VW Eos, with 22,000 miles that I LOVE!!!! I went here last night to get an oil change. Drove home fine. Went to leave today and the car is barely running, check engine light is on, I am freaking out. So I immediately call Valvoline, cause it had to be something they did. They sent out Justin, the GM, who is very knowledgeable. I live 45 minutes away from this location,. and Justin was here 50 minutes after I placed the phone call. After doing some testing, he figures out it was a bad coil pack, and that the oil change was not related, just a coincidence. Showed me how to replace it, even found one online for me. When I thanked him for rushing over here, even though it had nothing to do with him, or the oil change, he said to me.. That's just what we do for our customers!! THIS PLACE IS...
Read moreMy opinions: I got an oil change this morning. When it was time for checkout, the attendant noticed that they had accidentally entered an additional number in the milage, making it seem as if the mileage was nearly 900,000 miles. Then, to my surprise, the employee told me that until my next visit, there was nothing they could do to fix it in their system. I told them that I had an engine warranty to think about and that I couldn't have incorrect mileage information on my invoice, as it could void my warranty in the event of an engine failure. Believe it or not, I had to argue with the employee (who continued to tell me there was nothing they could do for me to fix their mistake). I actually had to tell them I wasn't leaving their bay until I had an invoice with the correct mileage. Eventually, they provided me with a correct invoice. The entire time, the employee made it clear through their actions, facial expressions, and arguments that they were not happy they had to fix their mistake. If it had been up to the employee, it was apparent that they would have let me leave with incorrect milage and potentially leave me with an enourmous cost to myself should i have an engine failure. For me, at least, I'm going to the dealership next time. The cost is roughly the same, and the only inconvenience is having to make an appointment. What should have been an easy 20-minute trip turned into a...
Read moreThis location has provided consistent service every time I've been here. But I feel like the wait times have gotten out of hand lately. I waited probably an hour or so. I got a synthetic oil change for my Outlander Sport ($99 without a coupon!) and the battery checked since I was having weird electric issues (that I since figured out on my own). Do I feel like it's worth the convenience? I don't know. The Mitsubishi dealership charges less, at least for an oil change. And takes about an hour and a half. Unfortunately Gladstone mitsubishi sucks so maybe not.
Honestly I might end up going through Wrench or Repairsmith next time, which cost slightly more but I won't feel like I'm being up charged or ripped off.
The oil change has no reason to cost $100 without a coupon for synthetic. Absolutely not. And in regards to the battery check, they told me I needed to replace it. No. Thankfully I narrowed my electric issue down to something easy to fix and it was confirmed by Autozone and Firestone that my battery and charging systems are totally fine. Saved $170.
If you have an older car, this place probably makes sense. You can get regular dino oil for less money. But my advice is to reconsider and go to a full service shop instead. Convenience is fine but paying more than a dealership or...
