Wanted to write a review for a visit this past year.
My wife had booked a 60 minute session as a birthday gift to me. I'm a huge aviation fan and got very excited to see there was a flight simulator experience close to where we live.
When we arrived, the instructor was pretty nice and gave a great rundown of how the 737 sim worked. I did the first simulation of takeoff and landing, and my wife did the same.
This took about 35 minutes, 40 minutes at most. Not flying time, instruction time total. We both flew for about 10 minutes each. At this point the instructor said the session was over. As it would take too long to reset the simulator for another go.
This was very disappointing since we clearly had purchased the 60 minute session. It was also confusing, as I doubt it takes that long to reset the simulator. As after I got done flying, my wife was able to begin flying not long after the instructor reset the program. I don't see what the harm would be if he had let us of us give another shot at flying.
When we got back to our car we checked the website and nobody had booked the time slot after us. Making us really confused as to why we were hurried out of there.
We had told the instructor that we were not pilots by any stretch and only doing this for fun. Not sure if this influenced the situation as many others who have reviewed this location are indeed commercial pilots.
In any case, terrible value as we didn't get to enjoy the full 60 minutes. I understand the simulator is a serious piece of equipment and not a toy... But I certainly hope we weren't given the cold shoulder because we weren't walking in with the intention of signing up to be a...
Read moreSimply put, this experience far exceeded my expectations, and I had really high expectations. Riley, a high school student and pilot-in-training, was phenomenal in guiding me through the entire process, from pushback, engines start, taxiing, take-off, landing, and parking at the destination gate.
I wanted the full experience, so I booked for two hours with Seattle as my origination airport and San Francisco as my destination. If you can swing it, go for the two hour program. You will NOT be disappointed. Bring a guest with you to video take-off and landing.
As a frequent traveler on Southwest, that only flies the 737, I’ve always wondered about the sounds, processes, and the pilot-feel for flying a 737. Wonder no more. The sounds, motions of the yoke and other controls, and the amazing scenery outside the cockpit windows made this a truly pleasurable and exciting experience. You’ll gain a new appreciation for what the folks in the cockpit do to keep you safe and comfortable. It’s a LOT of work.
This was a Christmas gift to myself, and it would be a perfect gift for anyone that has ever wanted to fly. It was a fantastic 2 hours and worth...
Read moreI purchased the 737 - 120 Minute Flight Session as a gift for my partner after seeing the advertisement on Instagram. I couldn’t have been happier! David was a fantastic instructor. He was kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating with questions during the simulation. They welcomed pictures and videos (without a flash) during the simulation. My partner had a blast as the pilot. He said the vibrations felt throughout added to the experience. I highly recommend the 737 experience. EFS also has other simulations (VR and gaming), but with the 737, it was like you were flying. It was cool. As a passenger, it was very realistic to look out of the cockpit windows, see the runway approach and the surroundings (buildings, homes, landscapes), and witness all the controls and the work (and math) required to fly a plane. I have a lot of respect for pilots and co-pilots, and I will remember this when flying on commercial flights in the future. We will have some airports and a few additional scenarios (weather conditions, etc.) picked out to simulate so that we’re ready when we go again. Thank you, David and EFS, for a unique and...
