It's a half and half... Gastropub with a semi-fine dining experience. Has a modern look. Lots of wood grain and earth tones. It was not too busy during our visit.
First - Service. I enjoyed the service here. Our server was very attentive, complimentary and made sure we had everything we needed during our dining experience. Kudos to her.
Food came out quickly. Didn't wait long @ all.
Restrooms were really clean. Glad that they upkeep those regularly. Some restaurants don't.
Second - Quality, Quantity and Pricing. Food was reasonably priced. Portion sizes are nice. Plenty food. Quality is kinda meh.
Third - Flavors. The food here is ok but it's lacking. Party of three... We order wing baskets. Wing baskets consist of chicken wings (8 pieces roughly) tots or fries and u can pay extra for another side. So my wife and I ordered wing baskets and the side salads for our extra sides.
Tasted the tots first. Delicious. Fresh, crispy, fluffy on the inside. Can't beat a tot ever! Side salad was blah. The greens used (combination of arugula, romaine and other ingredients) was lacking. The caesar dressing just did nothing for the salad. Sad to say I've had better but it's the truth.
The wings...🤦🏾♂️. For a place that has "world famous wings" or whatever they said advertised on the front of the establishment, those wings should have blown my socks off but not so much. No breading (of course, preference) but that doesn't change the fact that they were over cooked, lacked seasoning and the sauces or rubs (Garlic Parmesan) were lackluster. My wife had Garlic Parmesan. I had the honey sriracha. I was so so so disappointed. I'm expected sweet, spicy, satisfying. Instead I got semi sweet wings. No kick, no heat, flare, excitement... Nothing!! I ended up asking for a bottle of Tobasco sauce to spice it up. I know everybody's spice levels are different and they may have had ppl with lower lvls in mind when they created the sauce. But it's honey sriracha! SWEET HEAT! The mark definitely missed.
Nachos were decent. Chicken was seasoned well. Only down side was the cheese is shredded. So as the heat decipates, the cheese hardens. Loses pull and everything clumps together. Then the addition of refried beans doesn't make it better. Just ok.
Friend ordered the mango pineapple mule. Said it was delicious.
Overall... I'd visit again. I just would have to try something else. Maybe a more...
Read moreY'all, you know me I don't usually leave good reviews unless I am absolutely wow'ed! Ok so let's dive deep...
We ordered the APPETIZER SAMPLER. I have never had fried pickles and these are definitely an acquired taste but I low-key liked it!!! I had a strawberry spritz something. FANTASTIC! but be warned I couldn't taste the alcohol and I'm fairly certain I'm tipsy! 💜 I next had the strawberry margarita and it was so refreshing and delicious. I had to take a break from drinking or I couldn't do this review. Lol I'm druuuuuunk y'all
For FOOD I had the Cuban, brussel sprouts, French fries and tater tots. My partner had the lil Timmy, mac & cheese, and chili. He said it was so so so good. I tried some and I was floored. It's hard to find a place that makes Mac & cheese delicious. So good. The food had great portions, flavorful (OMG it's so hard to find a restaurant that uses seasoning), and the staff was friendly. As a minority woman this is HUGE for me. I was very impressed and definitely giving this place 5 stars a very rare rate achievement for me. Seriously, this is the place.
I will only go here when I'm in Gurnee Mills. 6 flags y'all!!!
Oh yeah and we went on Sunday, during football season, during lunch rush. Lol I like a challenge
Our server was Korei unsure of spelling but she was awesome! She answered my extensive questions, was sorry friendly, helpful, and was a blast. Even had the music turned on the patio instead of the game I WANNA DANCE AND DRINK! Lol seriously if the company loses Korei then they have lost one of the most valuable assets a company could have and could never...
