Someone said “Personally I didn’t have a good experience with John the instructor “ I agree it. I had 3 times lesson $305 + MVC test day 30min lesson $50 and road test $110. I had 3 time lesson instructor ladies very kind and professional teach. Especially Brandee is really professional instructor. I recommend her for my friends. But John is very terrible. I had an appointment 12:30 at road test. Pick up my house 12:00. But he call me ”I will go there 7min late.”at 12:01.He call me lately pick up then I starting already feel bad…And he pick up me 12:15. After I drove route 80…. I never driving route 80. He was charged his cellphone and he use it . The car navigation said exit Hackensack something…Im no native English speaker and I was so nervous on my first road that I couldn't hear it well and tried to get out at the previous exit.He stepped on the brakes and put his hand on the steering wheel. I was surprised to step on the brakes in the middle of the road, which led to a big accident. Fortunately there was nothing because it was a driving school car and I think people around me were careful and kept a distance from the car, but my heart remained throbbing all the time.I arrived around LODI after 12:30. I was impatient because the driving test appointment time had passed. The place where he started preparing for parallel parking was like the back of a factory. And he put a mark, but there were a lot of weeds and it was a place where the curb could not be confirmed with the side mirror. I was very surprised. And I've never learned parallel parking in a way that use a back camera. That's because the female instructors taught me that way. When I tried to do it that way, he told me to step on the brakes and check with the back camera and rearview mirror. I was taught that visual inspection is also important. Suddenly I was confused by a different method. To keep myself calm, I drank water outside the car and calmed down. John's pressure was so great that he almost lost sight of himself. I came to LODI's test course many times in the evening and practiced, doing perfect parallel parking and K-turns every time, but suddenly I was confused by the instruction to use a back camera and the worst result so far became. I should have canceled the lesson when he was late. It was the beginning of my nightmare. Of course I didn't pass and the next test day is full of reservations and I can't make reservations until January 2023. Finally he said “you need to practice more”. When I reported the failure to my friend who taught me the practice, everyone said, "Why?You were it 100% passable". I was confident that I had three female instructors teach me and corrected things I couldn't understand each time. But John's guidance confused my mind. I was brainwashed in a 20 minute lesson that I had to trust him under the pressure of him because I'm not a professional. It was a really worst day. Well I mean is that the instructors other than John are patient, responsible and very nice teachings. It's true that this school was a 5 star...
Read moreHonestly felt like i just wasted money. I took 3 lessons here and left less confident and more confused. Let me explain. My first lesson was with this older gentleman. He was actually pretty alright and made u practice with steering correctly. He’s the reason why i put it to 2 stars instead of 1. Now comes the rough part. My next 2 lessons were with this girl and oh boy was it stressful! She would not let you steer the wheel yourself at all cause she would just grab the wheel all the time, then get mad at you why you let her turn the wheel when she’s the one who kept grabbing it (the way she grabs it is also in a way that blocks ur hand from moving at all so u just have to trust she knows how to steer that way). Then on a stoplight, when it was yellow, i slowed down. Guess what? She got mad complaining that we could’ve passed it by going FASTER ON A YELLOW LIGHT. I really wish i was kidding but im not unfortunately. She also kept contradicting herself throughout the lessons with how to handle the gas and break pedals. I left this driving school learning nothing at all and would discourage people from paying for...
