While on vacation in Half Moon Bay, I stopped by Small Town Sweets and honestly, it was such a nice little find. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this place is the spot to hit up. The shop is small but super charming. It’s got that classic candy store feel with a ton of different treats to choose from. I tried a bunch of stuff like chocolates, taffy, and gummies and it was the perfect little sweet fix after a day of exploring. The staff were friendly and laid-back, which made it easy to take my time picking out what I wanted. Parking can be a bit of a hunt since it’s downtown and heads up, they’re closed on Tuesdays. But other than that, this place is definitely worth a stop if you’re in town.

Everything you want in a sweets shop - bags of the classic candies you know and love, Swedish candy, licorice, homemade chocolates from a nearby chocolatier. Loved the unique banana-black licorice candies we got, unlike any combo and pillowy texture I’ve had before, like a unique marshmallow. The dark chocolate-covered mangos are also delicious, just the right tang and sweetness. The owner is very kind, too. 5 stars!!!!

Wonderful experience! I and my friends went to half moon bay for tourist, and strolled around this town. There were many kinds of candies and chocolates in this store. I picked the Caramel Chocolate and it tasted amazing! Even better, the cashier (may be the owner) proactively assisted us with selecting the chocolates. And her smile and hospitality really made our day.🥰

The sweetest new store on the coast is a candy store in Half Moon Bay called "Small Town Sweets".

Small Town Sweets location, Americana farm store decor, and wide selection of specialty and nostalgic candies immediately takes you to a place a wonder and reverie. Evoking both the feel of the central and northern California coastal small town, as well as that of the Main Street candy store at Disneyland.

The selection of candy did not stop at Taffy, bars. They also include items such as Bit-O-Honey and Was lips to take everyone back to their childhood.

Love this store! Love the selection. Love the quality. I recommend Small Town Sweets for a quick delight or to satisfy your long term sweet tooth.

Small Town Sweets has a special place in my heart, is a "must" every time we visit Half Moon Bay, the locally-owned store brings that homemade flavor I grew up with back.

Amazing flavors, great variety and you'll always leave the store with a smile, service is amazing and their fudge are simply delicious, if you're lucky and go during a weekend (Friday or Saturday) you'll find some Bordeaux, is one of those homemade I am talking about.

Don't hesitate to visit them on your next trip to HMB, you...
