One word - DON'T! I am not sure if there's new ownership. Up until yesterday it has been about 5 months since I had a massage here. To make sure I had the right massage establishment when I called yesterday to schedule a massage I looked thru Google Places and saw the multiple bad reviews in the past months about the rude demands for tips. Fine, I thought to myself maybe people only tip $5 so the ladies doing the massages get snippy. Then on top of being more expensive they have started charging $5 for each credit card charge. To give you an idea the massage place down the street charges $100 for 90 minutes. This place charges $125. Still, it's a little cleaner to I opt for this place. I came in for my massage yesterday and it was a disaster compiled with a dismissive and disrespectful finale. I was charged the $5 in addition for the credit card use which was not the same in the past. I entered the room and as the massage started I asked if the AC was broken because there was no air circulating and it was very hot in the room. The lady doing the massage kept wiping her nose which I was not happy about because she was then touching me and with no AC and a closed door I was hoping I wasnt going to catch her cold. Half way through the massage I got up becuase she covered my head with a towel, I was laying face down, and she had a towel over my body, I could not take the heat. So she proceeded to open the door while doing my massage, leaving me exposed to customers going up and down the hallway. I told her I was uncomfortable with that. Towards the end I told her I could not take the heat and proceeded to ask her if the AC was broken. Each time I asked she just kept laughing but I thought maybe it's the language barrier. I got up 25 minutes before my massage was over (and paid for!) becuase I was over heated to which she saw I was upset and she proceeded to go turn the AC ON!!!!! So the AC was not broken and I guess to save on electricity they turn the AC off. The massage was sub par because she was not feeling well. I get it, I am human. I have empathy. The heat in the room was intolerable. Still at the end of the massage I got up, got dressed and came out and gave her a $20 tip (the bill was folded). She opened it up aggressively and said, what, only $20? I was so annoyed by her blatant disrespect, and I replied, yes, $20. Despite not getting what I paid for. The AC being turned off turning the space into a peach tree dish and her wiping her nose constantly, I still had empathy for her and gave her a $20 tip. I usually tip $25-$30 - but that is MY PEROGATIVE to do so. This establishment's demand for MINIMUM 20% tip is outrageous and not one I saw last year or even earlier this year. I think this lady was confused and thinks she works at the St. Regis Spa - which if she were, they would not allow her to wipe her nose and then proceed to try to massage clients, and certainly there would be cool air circulating. At the very least she would be expected to be able to communicate with clients in English so that when I ask her to increase the pressure for the massage points she would understand it. While she didn't understand for an hour that I was super hot and uncomfortable with the door being open while I was laying face down on the massage table - she sure did understand and know how to communicate that I needed to give her more than $20. Of most concern is that I did not see a license hanging on the wall as required by the county and state, and the heat due to the AC being turned off. I don't recommend this establishment and I will...
Read moreI can't believe I experienced something like that! I took my massage on Tuesday, Dec 12, at 10:30 am, for 90 minutes. Every 10 minutes, the therapist asked me if the massage is good, which was a little bit annoying, but I was ok with it. In the middle of the massage, the therapist asked once again, and when I said, "Yes," she said, "Good massage, good tip, yes?" I was shocked, but I could 'swallow' that and maybe understand that a little bit. The Unbelievable happened when we finished the massage I gave her $15, and she asked for more. She said that it is not enough for a 90-minute massage. Because I'm a visitor and not from the state, I decided to be generous, I gave her another 10 to make it 20% but asked her to change $50. When she gave me the change, she gave me only 20 and kept for herself 30 and told me, "30 is good for a good massage, ok? please!" At that point, I was absolutely no words and tried to take my money back, but she held it and didn't want to give it to me. In the end, I could grab some of my money and leave the rest because all I wanted was to be out...
Read morei don’t usually post reviews and i’m very careful when i do since i’m a business owner too, but this massage i just had was absolutely terrible. they use insane amounts of oil, they have no clue what a deep tissue or swedish massage is supposed to do. i’m in worse pain than i came in. it’s impossible to relax when they just shake you and knead on your muscles unnecessarily fast. they have no idea how to properly stretch a human body. bed is very uncomfortable too. i had to walk out before my time was up and their rates are for a 5-star spa. $80/hr....
