I've been on a boat from Miami party boat rental for my other friends birthday prior to this experience, and I had such a good time so I rented 2 boats for my birthday party on 7/26 which are parked next to each other once we are at the sandbar. Our boat was 32 minutes late so we didn't start till 2:32 ( our time was 2-6 )and I was understandable about it because I do understand that things happens. The first boat got there about 10 mins before the other and I waited for the second boat just to make sure everyone got on. I got on the boat with Captain Oscar. We finally got to the sandbar and you can just tell that Oscar did not want to be there. Everyone wanted to be on the other boat because of the negativity coming from Oscar. At one point everyone was on the other boat. The boat's door was broken as well which I reported to him. In the end Oscar wanted to leave at 5:40 to get back at 6 but I told him no because we got a extra 32 minutes and we were supposed to get back at 6:32. Oscar called his boss and passed the phone to one of my friends to speak to the owner he says. My friend explain the situation and the owner was understandable. We were told from the beginning that since they were late, they would add on the time. The other captain which I can't remember this name, I believe it was Marcos ? But I'm Not to sure, was the sweetest and nicest person. He tried telling Oscar that we needed and extra 32 minutes but yet he still called his boss to confirm. Can you imagine trying to have fun and the captain just passing you his phone and saying " speak to the owner ". As if he didn't believe us. The other captain is the reason why I'm even rating it 2 stars because that captain alone deserves 5 stars but I couldn't enjoy my own birthday since it was not a smooth trip so overall I rated it a 2 stars because of that, if not I would of rated it a 0 I spoke to the other captain and he agreed that what Oscar did was wrong. I cleaned the whole boat before leaving and I even took the trash out for him. The boat was so clean to the point where another group of people can jump in and directly come on. I did that on my own because I didn't want Oscar to blame me for any mess. I never ever write post like this and I don't like to complain but I was so upset that I couldn't enjoy myself for my birthday. If you get a boat do it with captain Marcos ! He's the best. He is 10/10. Overall they are a good company but they need to make sure their captains want to actually be surrounded by a party...
Read moreThe lack of communication has left a lot to be desired.. the owner will tell you whatever it takes to get you to book with them. I told him I had 11 people and said that he could provide a bigger boat ( on site itâs recommended for UP TO 10 people). When we got to the location, the 400 something address, itâs an apartment complex which is fine but you DONâT have access to park there so I called the owner and he said you have to park at a parking garage which was across a major highway, why didnât you mention that earlier? Although parking was a block or 2 away it took time to walk back considering we had a lot of stuff and again getting across the highway. He should have communicated that to us so that we could be prepared. When we finally made it there I asked him could he extend considering all of the time wasted looking for a garage that our gps couldnât pick up, he said sure. The captain was nice, no complaints there, however when he announced the trip was ending I told him that the owner said he would extend, he wasnât aware, again lack of communication. I will NOT book or recommend this place because I feel my $722 wasnât worth of this. This was our first time doing this but definitely have learned to CHECK REVIEWS...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience with Miami Party Boat Rentals. Firstly, we were delayed by 8 minutes because the location was not clear. Yet, they tracked the exact time and were not willing to consider those minutes as additional time. Once we finally set out, they provided us with a faulty boat whose engine began to shake if it went above 2 miles per hour. As a result, our 4-hour boat trip covered only a few miles, something I could achieve in just 30 minutes with a proper boat, being a regular boat renter myself.
Furthermore, when I initially spoke to them over the phone, I was quoted a price of $385 for 4 hours, inclusive of fuel, taxes, and everything. However, when I arrived, they suddenly mentioned additional insurance costs, even though I had specifically asked over the phone if the price covered everything and was assured that it did.
Upon returning the faulty boat, they promised to get back to me by evening to discuss a potential refund. But, they never intended to follow up. I feel deceived and would not recommend...
