We came here for dinner and we got absorbed by the outside atmosphere, romantic and attractive hidden garden next to the intercostal. Right before the sunset they turned the lights on and was just perfect. They had live music with a great singer, some couples were dancing š
We started with Salad and Eggplant Rolls stuffed with walnut paste, delicious and tasty...recommend. Than we shared a big stuffed flat bread with cheese (Imeruli), some Georgian dumplings stuffed with meat (Hinkali), lamb and pork on skewers and a beef/rice soup (Harcho). Still delicious only the soup was a little plain in flavor...or we just should have started with that š....next time...
I recommend this place, I'm really enthusiastic about the food, drinks (we had a pitcher of Compote jucy and tasty and vodka) and the atmosphere.
Because of the poor service I'm not ready to give it 5 stars. We spent there 4 hours (literally, from 7pm till past 11pm) most of the time waiting for the server to show up to order the next dish or drinks, trying to meet her eyes through the patio..neither once she checked on us! I understand that a certain point it got busy and I wasn't expecting to have her to my table all the time, but I could see her serving other tables and spending time and words that we didn't get neither when we just got there and the place had only 2-3 tables. I thought she forgot about our table but the few times she stopped by she was rushing away like she had some more important stuff to do instead of listening to us ordering. I appreciated the other server that always smiling, patiently stopped by helping us out to go through the dinner. I have to say it, if the tips weren't included in our past 200$ bill already, I would have given it to the other girl, or the gentleman (maybe the owner?) that before the sunset placed elettric fans all around the patio,, for the mosquitoes I guess! Tips that you get should be a kind of appreciation for the service you are offering as a server, it's not easy to make everyone happy but at least try to give a service!! I will be back because I'm sure that with a better server...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh my goodness. Where to begin. Went for a dinner, heard good things about this local restaurant, (I live very close) , sat at the bar, a lifeless looking staff member barely greeted me Literally surprised that I walked in. Never brought nor offerred me any water . Itās 100 degrees outside.I looked at the official website menu to make my choice beforehand ,they got photos for each dish, ordered two items initially, a house salad followed by lamb kebab. For the price I payed I expected more substantial portions, as they look on the website. Salad looks completely different from the one online. Just chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and onion with some vinegar. Price 18 dollars?!Restaurant was completely empty yet it took them an eternity to bring out the kebab. And when they finally did bring it, There was only three small pieces of lamb on a giant skewer! Price: 25 dollars?! Waitress never asked me for another drink even though I finished it rather quickly. 13 dollars for a small beer? I was obviously still hungry , so again I searched thru their website menu since said waitress was nowhere to be found, I flagged another person and ordered roasted baby pork , again, it looks great on the website. Once more, the plate looked completely different, They brought me a sizzling hot plate with literally a whole pound of potatoes and there were 4 little pieces of pork bone in, hidden in that pile of potatoes, mind you , there was barely any meat on them. 24 dollars . I couldnāt believe my eyes.Ended up not getting a honey cake, which I also wanted, didnāt want to spend another cent there. I got frustrated and left paying a whopping hundred dollars , since they force you to pay gratuity. This is a complete waste of time, waste of a good appetite, and especially money. I will never go back. They are seemingly in a business of ripping customers off and they simply donāt care! Stay away, there are other restaurants in Hallandale, whichever you pick canāt be worse than this ,so called...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwo of us wanted to take our mothers to celebrate March 8 (Women's Day) and called Argo on March 7 to make a reservation... Here is where it begins. The person on the phone (owner or manager) was not friendly but was not rude either, not yet. He said he did not have a pen to write with but he will remember. We also asked for a table outside so we could listen to live music but not too close to the stage, and his response was: "Do you even understand what you just asked me for"? It was "unusual" but we let it go. On March 8, we called again to make a change from 6:30 to 7:00 pm and had a pleasure to talk to the same lovely individual. We asked to confirm that we had a table for 4 as discussed the day before (he did not have the pen the first time, so we were not sure if he had all the details correct). The same person with irritation in his voice said that yes, he remembers the reservation but he does not remember it being for 4 people (he did not have a pen, remember?), he thought it was 5, and that we lied to him, and we kept calling him, and he did not want us as guests but he made the changes in our reservation anyway, and we could come if we wanted to... This was surreal. Alice in Wonderland was probably more normal than this situation. We said that we doubted that with such a unique attitude we would be keeping our reservation but we would make sure to leave a Google review to share this unique experience with others. In response we were told that we were old farts with a horrible character, and that we needed professional help, and should go and complain to the "central laundry"... I am afraid to even think what this person is on, but he is definitely a danger to humans. Restaurant Argo does not want you as guests. Looks like this restaurant is not their main business if you know...
