Hobby Lobby — Attraction in Hammond

I had written a 5 star review, and then I met the Spanish lady manager at the Hammond store, who went completely out of her way to make sure my experience was a headache. First, They're still using cash registers from the 80s, and don't accept tap to pay or Google or Apple pay, so I run to my truck to get cash and the guy was going to put my stuff aside till I git back. She walks over, says, "You can't do that and takes it and throws it in the return buggy. Then I come back in and he grabs it and is going to check me out real qui k because I had already sat in like for 20 minutes and she walks over, picks up the stuff, hands it to me and says you gotta get back in the line. People saw this and offered to let me be next, like 3 - 4 people were just awesome, she wasn't done yet though and says I'm sorry that wouldn't be fair to the rest of the people. I do feel sorry for her, though,it must be a sad life to be so miserable with your life that you just have to try to ruin other people's day. I was going to let my 5 stars stay and just tell about my experience with her but I was in this week and she still somehow managed to make sure my experience was 1 star or less, so here...

So much STUFF! Nothing that is necessarily needed (personally opinionated, not intended for negativity or hate towards the establishment) but all items are incredibly engaging for all ages. Merchandise creating possible immersing and memorable experiences that resonate with anyone who has an interest in crafts, gardening, decorating knitting and that's not even close. If you're an artist then this place is a little slice of heaven. DIY parties, celebrations or any occasion can be themed all here in one store. The knick knacks will transform any room into a personalized place to get lost in and its reasonably priced too. I have never really believed those signs everywhere, 30%, 40% & 50% off hasn't made me feel like I'm catching a deal, rather creating a misconception of value. This place is dangerous for hobby lovers. I'm only partially a do-it-yourselfer and I still find myself having to constantly remind myself that I'm there for a specific reason. They are a craft store and as such their prices are correspondingly higher than if you bought the raw materials and made it completely yourself. But, if you want something to get you most of the way there so projects can be nice and quick, this is definitely the place to go.
