Hamtramck Public Library — Attraction in Hamtramck

I hate to write anything bad about a library but I think they do the best they can with what they have. I think I have seen some iffy looking patrons which is why I'm struggling to give this place a better review. They do have plenty of books and offer many services for the community. They also have a cool reading program(s) for the kids which is always great. Definitely not my favorite place to go but it's the only place in Hamtramck...

Fast internet access, computers are kept in good condition. Book selection is OK, same with DVDs. H'town isn't exactly a wealthy place, they do the best that they can. They hold foreign language classes and sometimes patrons bring noisy kids.....so at times it gets a bit loud. Staff is competent and friendly. Hours could be better, but..... it seems other city departments get first dibs on whatever...

Lattice is my all time favorite librarian in the world & and all of the Hamtramck library staff. Hamtramck's library is one of the best in the country. it's small but the level of communication and love and support that they give the community is an amazing thing to watch and be a part of. I love h Hamtramck & I'm grateful to be a part of such a thriving...
