The most fun I've had at a bar just BS'ing with the regulars and bartender. Everyone seems cool, the place is adorably run down, and the refrigeration unit still works, so boom. Bar.

Whiskey in the Jar is where you are. It sounds like an Irish bar, and yet, it's probably more of a Polish bar. What do you expect, it's Hamtramck. The Irish took off for Royal Oak, where the Celtic lot congregate at Four Green Fields. Whiskey in the Jar offers cheap drinks and even cheaper thrills. You can bring in food from proper establishments. However, you'll get a discount from Amicci's on the corner. Jet's is nice but it isn't ethnic, like Amicci's and Whiskey in the Jar. This hidden gem was the icing on our cake! First visit to Detroit as Canadians, and stateside since Covid and boy it was a perfect area for us to pick for our one night stay!
