Black Rose Antiques & Collectibles — Attraction in Hanover

Large place. Somewhat friendly staff. Found a lot of good movies, books and frog stuff, so definitely a place I'll go back to. Just not crazy for the older staff who treats anyone who's looking like a teen (and c'mon I'm in my early 30's) like they're some kind of criminal. Hey I'm into antiques. Loved it! Looking at coins and the guy walks up and checks every lock of each counter I had walked up to to browse. I get it, gotta take care of the vendor's merch, but never once any customer service or "would you like to see something". Just some foul attitude older man. And the older woman just had some stick up her butt when I gave her the movies I wanted to purchase. She threw them on the counter and then into a bag once I paid. Then asked if I checked the disks. " no didn't want anyone think I'd be stealing them so I figured you'd do it and we'd do it up here" "not my problem if you buy empty boxes" was her reply. Wow.. but the younger gal working there- Loved her. Funny, easy to talk to great customer service. I'll come back to see her and of course what the vendors have in...

I've had nothing but good experiences at this store for years until today. The cashier Niece broke two items right in front of us while checking out. One was a vintage glass ornament that she ripped the tag off of and broke the top off and broke glass. The second was a very expensive vintage Santa where again she yanked the tag instead of cutting it off and ripped the fabric on it. I was set on purchasing because it was something I've been looking for, for a long time but then was refused a discount even though she was the one that broke it. I'm just really upset the cashiers are not trained to handle these fragile...

"Antiques & Collectibles". It was more like an indoor flea market. Don't get me wrong: it was fun to walk through, with lots of kitchy stuff. There were shelves filled with DVDs and toys from the 90's. Video games. Country crafts. Were there antiques? Yes, most of them were primatives. Be warned though: if you want to buy something that is in a case and it is within half an hour of closing time, they will NOT open the case for you and not allow you to buy the item. Ten minutes before the store closed, and the case was just feet from the counter, and they still would not open the case,...
