Jerry & Sal’s Pizza — Restaurant in Hanover

I have been eating here since I was a child. The pizza and other food is very good. The reason for four stars is because as usual you get a cup full of ice with little soda and then get charged for a refill. I do recommend this place for a bite to eat.

5/27 22 I'm sorry to have to post this review today. My wife and I went here for lunch today. I think I can honestly say I haven't been treated this bad anywhere in quite a while. I've been a loyal customer since this place was named Scottos with just counter service. Today we ordered our usual four slices and two drinks, twenty five minutes later still no slices. My wife went to see what was up with our order. Everyone huddled in the corner talking to the man who was making the pies. The next thing they are making our slices to put in the oven. I asked the girl, did you just now put ours in the oven,she said yes, I said just refund my money,she asked what did you say, I gave her the same answer. Long story short I don't know yet if I got a refund,the name on the receipt was Chloe M. The other young and I use this term loosely "lady" says as we are leaving go to Little Caesars. Probably the last time I will ever go here, I've had a few friends with the same problem. It seems to a recurring theme. Shame on you Jerry and Sal's.

Update 6/3/22 I asked for a refund didn't get one, they took my money anyway ,$20 and some change. It's not worth dealing with these "People" with apparently no respect or concern for someone else to try and get it back. I've spent my last dollar at this place. Such a shame. It's just bad business....

I've been coming here for 30+ years. Back when it was across from orange julius and had the Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter arcade games. We used to eat pizza and play arcade games here every weekend as kids.

The pizza still tastes as good today as it did 30 years ago. They've never sacrificed quality. If you like a thinner neopolitan style pizza, this is the place to go in Hanover. Perfect sauce to cheese ratio and perfect crust. Plus, the sauce is very tasty, and the cheese has always been high quality. Their Sicilian style pizza is also the best sicilian in Hanover.

The best mushroom pizza I've ever had in my life! They season the mushrooms with some kind of magical spices that make them stand out. Nobody even comes close with mushrooms.

The slices are always perfect. The pizzas in the window for slices are always stretched out to the perfect consistency. I considerthe slices "premium". (The dough is always thicker when you buy whole pizzas. I personally prefer the dough thin like their slices , which is why i rated the slices higher than the pies)

If you stop in on the weekends, you'll often find specialty slices that are amazing. I suggest going for lunch when they are fresh out...

This place has definitely gone down hill in the last few years as far as quality of the food as well as customer service. We ordered 2 pizzas (1 large and 1 small) and a mozzarella stick to be delivered (which cost $60). The estimated delivery was 45 mintues out. Both pizzas arrived in 45 minutes, but both were cold and the mozzarella sticks were hard as a rock and their appearance looked as if they were fried twice. I called the store and explained the situation and the manager stated I had to contact Slice for a refund. So I did. Now Slice is denying the request because the store is claiming it was the drivers fault the food was the way it was. I honestly dont believe that as I watched the tracker and the food was delivered within 10 minutes of being picked up. Neither the store or Slice are willing to rectify this. If you want fresh, hot food and a manager that cares about making their customer's experience enjoyable (and actually providing edible food), skip Jerry and Sal's and...
