Lovely trail to the cliff overlook through the C&O Canal and Maryland heights trail. We had a great time hiking with kids and were lucky to even see a cargo train on this track. Couple of pointers- Carry water and snacks - there are not many shops, few expensive pubs/restaurants Don’t miss the caps, sunglasses On the trail, you’ll need bug spray The parking is at visitor center & shuttle to trail head is frequent. Get the maps from the visitor center before starting No dustbins - get a bag, carry your trash back....
