Paid almost SIX dollars for a toddler size portion. From their menu, I ordered a chocolate malted shake. The guy taking orders just said “oh, we can’t do shakes.” No further explanation was offered. So then I ordered a chocolate single scoop cone and when I received it (after a long wait) I was disgusted - what a waste of money. Not even a solid scoop but a tiny curl of ice cream - you could see through it (C-shaped curl sitting on top). Husband was told AFTER he ordered and paid that the butter pecan he ordered was now gone and he needed to select another flavor. Meanwhile, when I asked them if this pathetic serving size for $6 was the norm, the girl nonchalantly explained to me that they ran out of chocolate and that’s why my portion was so tiny - as if this was a perfectly normal and acceptable thing. No apology or anything. She reluctantly offered me something else. I looked at the menu and said maybe a little scooo of chocolate chip cookie dough. She said she wasn’t able to do that because it was “too hard to scoop.” (I swear I’m not making any of this up). Meanwhile, the lady standing next to me (who also had ordered and paid a while earlier) was told that the Rocky Road she ordered was all gone and she’d have to choose another flavor. As I’m listening to all this, I’m looking around at the mess in the kitchen, and trash spilling out everywhere onto the deck. This place was a big FAIL in every sense of the word. Seriously, is there even a manager or owner here who cares? Run away from this place. Run fast and...
Read moreWhy choose this spot for ice cream when there are two other locations next store with much friendlier and harder working employees?
When we arrived with our two young children after a long difficult hike in the rain to get a treat, there were several high school aged kids in back saying the F, S, and A words. I told my husband if I hear the F word one more time we'd go back to another shop. The F word came out again, so my husband said very politely "never mind thank you anyway." The female with long black hair responded with "never mind F you. " My husband didn't hear her, but I sure did. I said "excuse me?" And her response was she was "talking to her friend."
She was clearly talking to my husband who is the kindest man in the world and
Even if she wasn't lying and was speaking to the other workers, why were they goofing off and not working? No one even gave us the time of the day when we came to the window. No hi, how are you, can I help you, nothing.
I can't imagine saying a bad word at work ever and not worry I'd be fired, let alone say it multiple times in front of young kids. Not only did they lose our business for life, as we live nearby, but two other families behind us with children also heard this and went elsewhere as did our parents. They lost four families of orders over their foul language and rude behavior.
Instead of engaging with the teenagers we immediately called the shop and told the manager what was going on and she apologized. Regardless, we will...
Read moreHad lunch next door at Almost Heaven, kids saw creamery and begged for ice cream so we went next door after eating. No one was in line in front of us but the 4 girls inside argued over who would take our order. After listening to them for an awkward minute, a blonde girl took the order. She seemed irritated when we asked what was in the Jurassic somethingorother and the Zombie. If you aren’t listing the ingredients on the board, don’t be surprised when people ask.
$28 for 4 garbage ice creams. You know it’s bad when a 4yo licks the sprinkles off and throws the entire cone in the trash.
The place is in a cute spot and has potential, but it’s more like girlfriends hanging out than working. My suggestion would be an owner or manager be present to ensure the business gets...
