Almost Heaven Pub and Grill — Restaurant in Harpers Ferry

We came in from the downstairs. There was no one there to greet or tell us anything and no customers were down there. We saw the signs on the tables that said more seating upstairs please proceed to the stairs behind the wall, so we did. We heard customers talking upstairs. Once we came up the steps one waitress walked by and looked at us but didnt say anything. There were no signs saying please wait to be seated or anything and none of the waitresses said anything so we picked a table and sat down. There were 3 other tables with customers. I watched as one waitress brought food out to one table then gave a check to another. The other waitress brought food out to the third table. Both waitress' walked out numerous times, walked by us, and said nothing. Not a hello, we will be right with you, do you need a drink, nothing. We waited patiently with the thought maybe they were busy. The younger waitress then checked on the first table that she brought food to and asked if they needed drinks, still nothing to us. I said we will wait and if they come out one more time and say nothing to us but look at us we are leaving, and so be it that's what happened and we left. This service was ridiculous, I guess the waitress' didnt want to make money because they had numerous chances to even acknowledge us and they didnt. Waited a long time before a server came over. The place is extremely run down and dirty. I noticed right away the malt vinegar sitting on the table had chunks of something floating around the bottom. I ended up switching it with an empty tables. My boyfriend and I both ordered waters, the styrofoam cups (with a different restaurant's logo on them) look like they have been reused multiple times. There was also gray flakes of something floating around the bottom. We ordered the crab dip as an appetizer, it was fine, nothing special. My boyfriend wanted a salad but the server said they didn't have enough lettuce for a salad, so he then ordered the BLT and she said they were out of bacon. So eventually, he went with a burger. A few minutes pass and the server comes back saying they "found" a salad and my boyfriend accepted. He requested to add grilled chicken and balsamic dressing. The salad came out almost instantly with cold "grilled chicken" and ranch dressing. I also requested no tomato on my bbq chicken sandwich but ofc it had tomato. The fries were good but the sandwich was very bland and mediocre. My boyfriend asked for a takeaway box and after it was finally brought, we saw a visible foot print on the box and it was busted. Avoid this place at all costs. Came here with my boyfriend and waited 20 minutes before our order was ever taken. Our drinks took 15 additional minutes after the order was placed, and our food an additional 20. We had ordered the spinach dip to share, and I ordered the veggie sandwich with turkey added and no onions, and my boyfriend ordered the burger cooked medium rare. Our orders came out incorrectly, my sandwich had onions and my side of marinara was never to be seen. After opening my sandwich to discover onions I was also greeted by the butt of a lettuce head, unbelievable. My boyfriend’s burger was no where near medium rare. As for our spinach dip, it arrived at the same time as our food- so much for an appetizer. The server came off as dismissive and not very friendly either. Other customers who arrived after us started to get up out of their chairs after it was clear they were going to have to wait 30+ minutes to be greeted. Settling the check was no easy task either, we had to hunt down our server and wait an additional 15-20 minutes just to leave. Overall, this place is overpriced, understaffed, and underwhelming.
