this review is for the (horrible) Harpers Ferry NPS visitor center (and not for the bus nor the town of Harpers Ferry). The NPS visitor center is just a glorified parking lot and bus stop staffed by rangers whose only action was to hand out a brochure. My questions were not answered rather they directed me to just take the bus. The building provided no history, no exhibits, and no information to guide our tour of the town/park. I gave the visitor center one star because there were restrooms and the bus was an efficient way to get to the town/park. Once we were dropped off in town we had no idea where to go next and which things to do or see. The brochure was not clear about which areas were for history buffs vs hikers vs shoppers, and we apparently missed seeing some of the most educational and fun parts. Several interesting exhibits are in good condition scattered across several different historical buildings so a small amount of walking is needed but well worth the effort.
