Harpers Ferry Park Association — Attraction in Harpers Ferry

What an amazing little town with an amazing history. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we had a long trip back to PA. The little shops, museums, vistas and cafe's make this town a great place to visit. I've always wanted to go here. My family almost gave up because of the limited parking. I think we drove around for 30 or more min. before we found a spot. My advice is park up on the hill near the Storer College Campus and walk down Fillmore Street. The Harper Cemetery is amazing along with St. Peter's Catholic Church. We had lunch at The Rabbit Hole. They had a great beer selection, and they were very accommodating to our dog Stella. The store has a lot of character and a fascinating history, which makes it quite interesting to visit. However, there’s a musty smell that might be off-putting to some. Really neat place to visit. It was nice to walk around the buildings like they would have been around the turn of the century. Everything there said it was foot path only but we saw a fair amount of bicycles while walking around. I think the use of bikes for some of the park would be beneficial in the wooded areas.
