We love going to city island. There is so much to do in such a small area. Baseball games, the train, a playground, walking, arcade, the walking bridge over to Harrisburg, and mini golf. There is also a small food stand where you can get stuff like burgers, chicken tenders, fries, ice cream and drinks, among a few other things.
My girls love going to the little playground on the island. It could use some updating and a few repairs but that doesn't stop the kiddos from loving it. I do wish there was more seating for parents. Maybe a couple more benches or something and even a few large trees would help with some shading in the summer. It can be brutally hot when the sun is reflecting off the mulch and there isn't really any shade.

Read moreIt was confusing driving around it not knowing where to park and how to get to places. We finally just drove off the island not going to any of the places we wanted to visit. I think if they had better directions, better signs pointing the way to miniature golf and it's parking as well as signs that direct you to the boat and signs that say park here for boat ride.
