Where is the highest icon of our faith, the Tabernacle containing our Lord? How is a Hawaiian dancer facing the congregation with the priest sitting in the pew watching her NOT a performance?? Why freestyle the prayers of consecration when you have The Church's approved prayers?
The Reverend Francis Joseph Hoffman (Fr. Rocky) says this about reverence for our Lord: "The tabernacle containing the Most Blessed Sacrament should be clearly visible, and it’s usually in the center of the sanctuary up front. Look for the little vigil light with a candle burning next to it."
Where was the Tabernacle with the red candle? We were searching everywhere when we entered and couldn't see it anywhere. To what or to whom are we genuflecting?
The Hawaiian woman performed a beautiful dance, but the Mass is not the time or place for such things, even if it is beautiful. It was the very definition of a performance, regardless of what Father tried to imply.
The Mass has rubrics for a reason. They should always be followed with reverence for our Lord being of the highest importance. I would strongly urge the Pastor at St. Theresa to...

There was another caucasian lady who came in the church with a hat and this chubby grey haired asian lady was very gracious and helpful to her (basically worshipping a white person) and never mentioned the hat she was wearing whereas she harassed me as an asian person. The church is amazing but some parishioners here are flat out rude and discriminatory. I called her out on her nonsense and you should too. No one should accept being treated second class especially when the same rules don't apply to...

We gave them all the forms they required (along with a donation) and thought we were all squared away, until we get to the arranged date and time and NO ONE knew we were coming.
The presiding priest and staff scrambled and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. My parents were ultimately happy at the end, so I guess that's what matters. Beautiful church and very friendly ministers whom we appreciated very much, but why did we have to jump through all of the hoops if they weren't going to be ready...
