As for my first experience at Le Bazaar, I was excited to soak in everything. After taking a few pictures in front of the restaurant. I noticed some large beautiful vases on each side. Plus a menu displayed on the right. Leaving a gap on the left side of the door. Although could be a good spot to add the other part of the menu, welcoming you to Le Bazaar. Even a large welcome mat with Le Bazaar logo on it would be a nice finishing touch for the entrance ambiance.
Walking through the doors on the right side is a lovely display of items available for sale behind the host stand. Then on the left side is a little waiting area with some seats. However on their website or in the restaurant I didn't see what all was for sale & their prices. An online catalog as well as a look book for the waiting area would be a good spot to list all the items available with pictures & prices. Plus maybe a shipping option for guests that want to take a piece home with them. On another note, the tile in the entrance area is absolutely gorgeous.
As I continued to look throughout the rest of the restaurant. I definitely enjoyed all the little details. Everything had its own charm & the longer you looked. The more you'd discover. Although for that perfect Instagramable moment I would recommend giving the ceiling a Moroccan makeover. Just to help blend everything a little more. As for the occasion, I'd recommend coming here for a romantic date night or for large parties. Because the atmosphere is a fun & enjoyable experience.
Our Yelp event had our tables on the left side of the restaurant. However before we sat down, in the back of the restaurant they even had clothes for us to wear. To really dress the part & make us feel like we're no longer in Maui. Although as a clumsy eater, I felt this was an easy way to protect my clothes. Like the ultimate bib. However for guys that might not be a accustomed to this style of clothing. It might be their first time wearing something that resembles a dress. The hat was also a cool new style that I've never tried before either. So playing dress up was something I enjoyed.
The menu is preset. Although I didn't see a drink menu & that's something they should look into adding to boost sales. The Harira soup was tasty, it was presented in a beautiful bowl. But could have used a garnish to make it instagramable. Plus maybe a little spice to add the heat. Also could have been fun to eat it with bread. As for the second course the Moroccan salad was pretty cool. Since this isn't your typical salad it's more of a dip eaten with bread. Except this dish is very photogenic & fun to eat. The third course B'Stella was probably the strangest for my palate. It's a beautiful dish, the first bite of sweet is thrown by the savory flavor from the chicken & egg on the inside. The main course was fun getting to sample them all with a large group. If I had to pick a favorite I'd have to say the fish. Plus the filth course the Couscous was also one of my favorites. The last course for dessert we had Moroccan pastries & fresh mint tea. The pastries were mild on the savory end. Then that first whiff of the tea being poured awakened my senses. It was simply the best way to end a meal.
As for the dancing, I feel like if all the guests were given some sort of dance lesson &/or prop. Maybe more people would have gotten involved. I also think the dancers style costumes & props would be fun items to sell to guests too.
Overall everyone I met were all so nice. Plus accommodating for our picture taking moments & were happy to answer any questions. Definitely a fun & enjoyable experience. So thank you very much for a wonderful evening.
Until next...

What an amazing and special experience my girlfriend I had here at this beautiful restaurant! My friend and I were given complimentary tickets to the John Cruz show at the Pro Arts center since we are Lahaina residents that lost our homes in the fire. We had planned to have a quick bite at a nearby restaurant but the line was too long. My friend said she had heard amazing things about this new Moroccan restaurant that was also in the Azeka shopping center. We walked inside and immediately noticed how beautiful and elegantly this restaurant was decorated... WOW! We were transported to another world. We were greeted by a gentlemen with a big smile on his face who asked if we would like to dine. Without looking at the menu we said yes! After sitting down we looked at the menu and realized it was a price fixed menu that looked INCREDIBLE with multiple courses. My friend and I had intended on just having a small bite somewhere so we discussed planning a time to come back to have the full experience here and really enjoy the food when we wouldn't have to rush. We stood up from the table and the same gentleman (Rick) that greeted us came to see why we were getting up. We explained our situation that we didn't have too much time, and that we just wanted a little bite to eat but that we would be back another time for the full experience. Rick then proceeded to insist that we at least stay for some desert and tea on him. We were shocked but accepted the very kind offer and sat back down. After enjoying the most delicious tea and cookies, Rick came to talk with us. He asked us if we were visiting Maui. After sharing with him that we were Lahaina residents and had complimentary tickets for the show nextdoor, Rick told us that he would really like for us to stay and enjoy some bread and dips and salads on him. Blown away by the kindness and let me just tell you that the food was DELICIOUS!! I can't wait to plan a special night out to have the full experience that they offer. While enjoying the appetizers, a belly dancer came out and did a beautiful performance that we really enjoyed. Way to show aloha Rick and Le Bazaar!! We will surely be sending friends and tourists your way. Can't wait to come back here for the full experience very soon. Mahalo for your kindness and we wish you and your business...
Read moreAs we walked through the doors of Le Bazaar, or should I say time portal, my wife and I were instantly transported to Morocco!
The decor inside made us feel as if we left Maui, but never needed a passport, and were not entering a country illegally.... (Joke)
We were greeted by one of the owners, Rick, who's smile and kindness were instantly felt by us. Rick is warm hearted, and treated us as if we were family.
His kindness is genuine, not an act, and you can instantly feel his positive energy. Next, Rick guided us to our table where we became comfortable.
Within seconds, our server, Ailen greeted us with a smile and poured water on our hands to cleanse them, and explained this a Moroccan custom.
We brought our own wine and appreciated their BYOB policy.
Next, Rick took my wife and I to a back room location where we had an opportunity to change into traditional Moroccan clothing before we embarked on a fabulous dinner experience.
Another server, named Edwin, introduced himself, and sparked up a memorable and intellectual conversation with us.
Le Bazaar has a Pre-Fixe menu, which included 6 courses! The generous amount of food they serve for the price, is an amazing value!
I really like their approach to this, versus an a la carte menu, because you can experience so much variety of food, especially if you've never had Moroccan food before.
If I could describe the flavors of the food we experienced in one word, it would be "divine!"
As we were enjoying our meal, time literally stopped, as a highly skilled belly dancer named Isa, started dancing to high energy middle eastern music to entertain the audience. Shortly thereafter, the entire restaurant stood up and was clapping and dancing.
Le Bazaar is a fairy tale experience, they've truly created a magical atmosphere and I highly recommend it for your dinner bucket list while you're in Maui.
I'm not just a loyal customer of Le Bazaar, I'm a RAVING FAN!!!
