Costco Business Center — Attraction in Hayward

Some of the managers here are so rude and lazy. Some others do too much and not in a good way. They act like they al mighty and powerful. Shi, i can't remember his full name I usually set my things in a way that cashiers can scan really fast without having to do too much extra work, more than once I had been at the registers and Shil... cane over and started pulling things out like a maniac. They weren't even that busy when I tried to speak, and he shut me up and said, " Let me do my job, Sir." I didn't say anything back because the employees and managers/ supervisore can banned or get you in a lot of trouble if you say something back.

I own a small business, so I am there a lot. Once, I ve forgot my wallet and didn't think I had my membership on my phone. Luckily, that day, We close early, so I was rushing. I got there at 5:33 pm, they are not busy at all, they only had one person working membership and customer service. I didn't think it was gonna be enough time for me to wait and run and get my things, which I needed. So, I approached the other supervisor a girl this time, told her the situation, she seem like she was actually working on something, she said you have to go to costumer service, You guys are about to close I just need a one day pass, at this moment the Shil... guy interrupted and rudely told me to just go over there, and like he didn't care whether or not I was able to get my shopping down. But, the girl then looked over and said I see if I can send someone over. Shil continued to just talk, and honestly, I just stopped listening to him. I ended up just running and was able to get my membership on my phone on my own. NOT RIBS...LOL What is this mystery meat??? I’ve always ❤'d Costco—especially this small business location. But, I’m changing my overall rating from 5 stars to 3, and here’s why: the quality of their meat and fish has seriously gone downhill.

A few weeks ago, I bought fresh salmon. I live five minutes away, took it straight home, seasoned it, and grilled it—only to find it was rotten. Not just “fishy”—a rotten sour foul taste. We were craving salmon and ended up with no dinner at all.

2 weeks later, I bought what was labeled spare ribs, but after noticed my receipt said brisket. ??Either way, when I opened the package, it was a weird mix of miscut ribs, long strips of fat, and random scraps of meat. It ruined my plans for a BBQ with guest.

Then came the final straw: the peppered bacon. It came in a two-pack, looked promising, and was priced well—but it tasted old. The fat was stale, there was no smoky flavor, and honestly, it barely tasted like bacon. This was the very next day after the rib fiasco, and part of breakfast for my guest. That made two back-to-back meals ruined while entertaining. Just embarrassing.

I get that food costs are rising and they might be switching purveyors, but I’d rather pay more for reliable, quality meat—especially since I’m usually buying in bulk for gatherings. I used to trust Costco for this, but now I cannot very disappointed… very...

I like this location although southcity has a much bigger one. Recently they are doing renovations to there freezer section so lots of frozen products are not there at moment. Great staff though, always on point. Need anything and their employees pretty much always have the answer. They do get quite busy at times so don't get there too late or you will be looking for parking. Conveniently located but both exiting off the freeway and entering the freeway can be a pain in the ass. Make sure you get into the correct lane when exiting the freeway as if you dont you will most likely miss the upcoming turn. In addition departing to the free way, make sure as you exit stay in the farthest right lane as you make a left out of costci or again you will find yourself missing the upcoming right turn as it comes up really fast. They do have a gas station there so you will get best prices on gas around but again look at the times you arrive as I always notice it's packed. Kudos to the management on staff hiring.
