Heber City Dog Park — Attraction in Heber

We went after the Grand Opening. We were regular visitors to the previous facility. Liked the fresh water and bathroom additions. The gate latching system is an improvement. The trees will eventually provide much needed shade if they are protected and the irrigation system is finished and maintained. Access has been improved by the addition of another set of gates with good latches. The surface material is unique and helps in removing waste ( I removed three piles from other dogs and the park was dedicated only two hours before our visit ). Hopefully it will firm up a bit. The details that distracted from a nice improvement were broken and incomplete irrigation, failure to protect the trees that already suffered damage, the inexplicable jagged edged rock used and the failure to finish the grounds outside the off leash areas. It's a great place to take your dogs and let them run. More people need to make use of it instead of letting their dogs run loose we have Highway 40 going through the middle of town and a lot of people that just don't obey speed limits and bad things happen to good animals. There was a time murder somebody brought a dog that was infested with some mites or something and it got all my friends. And that the shampoo and shampoo to get rid of it. People need to think before they do. And if your animal is not up on its shots and wearing a collar with information on it you should keep it on a leash until that is...

It's a dog park, not much to say. There's human bathrooms nearby and there's a water fountain in each side of the dog park. I do wish the fountain made it easier to fill bowls, as it's clearly not designed with that in mind and it's instead more for dogs and people passing by in a regular park. Could also have better gates in the big dog side as a small enough dog can escape from one of them.

But overall it's a really good dogpark. The people and dogs that show up are generally kind and really well behaved. Can't beat the views of the...
