I prefer to support local, small businesses, so needless to say I chose Heber Appliance when my dishwasher broke. This was a terrible decision.
Firstly, the appliance technician came on the wrong day. I had an appointment scheduled for Tuesday, August 19th. He showed up on Monday, August 18th. The main office was to blame, he said. I let that go after he was apologetic. What's more, he followed up with me, quoted me a price, and let me know he'd be coming back in a matter of days. I appreciated his level of service, I think his name was Mike.
Then, I called Heber Appliance toward the end of the following week after a period of radio silence. I spoke with Wilma, who informed me that the part would arrive from 7 - 10 business days after it was ordered. It had been ordered on Tuesday (not sure which date), I could expect it by September 2nd. No apologies were made for the false information provided by Mike, nor the lack of information provided to me, their client. I let that go, too, assuming it would be a matter of days.
On September 2nd, I called again and was told it would be another 3 weeks. This time, Wilma did not come to the phone and I spoke with an unknown. I asked why I had been given so much misinformation. She said, we can only tell you what our distributors share. Sure, I get that, but expressing a sense of urgency goes a long way. This woman seemed irritated; it was unpleasant.
This all leaves me wondering: Did they ever order the part? Why is the company's customer service so awful? Will this terrible place survive when All Pro Appliances down in SLC is less expensive -- service visits AND parts.
Needless to say, I canceled my job with Heber Appliance. I am a disabled woman who relies on my dishwasher, and it is simply unacceptable to have to chase a vendor down that is working for you in a land of infinite service choices.
I hope you...

We have been loyal to Heber Appliance since we moved here 7 years ago with both purchases and service. They are the only ones we trust to service all of our appliances. Recently we had a dryer go out and our home warranty was prepared to replace it, however, we preferred to give the business to Heber Appliance so we requested a cash out. I called on Monday, but they were closed for Pioneer Day. We could have ordered one that day from Best Buy and have it in 2 days but we wanted to give Heber Appliance a shot so we waited a day. I spoke to Andy the next day and he said while they had 2 in stock, they were both spoken for and he would see what he could do. He called me back shortly and said he could get one for me and have it installed in a matter of days. He then texted me the following day and said he could get it installed that day!! Andy himself showed up with the Owner Derrick with the dryer right on time and did an AMAZING job of fitting it in a tight spot on our 2nd floor! This type of service and care doesn't exist anymore - truly small town service and care and one of the many reasons we love it here and why we will only use Heber Appliance! Support local, small businesses and thank you Andy...
Read moreThese people are terrible. I went into the local Heber City store in mid May and paid cash for a washer and dryer, set to be delivered the following Thursday. On Wednesday evening I get a voicemail that the delivery will not be taking place because the appliances are on back order. I call, leave a message, nobody returns my call. A couple weeks later, I physically go into the store to find out what's going on. They offer me some loaners to hold me over, but start the blame game. Linda blames Mike, Kyle blames Mike, Mike blames Kyle, people were sick the week before, there were vacations going on, the GE Rep is to blame. You don't expect to have to hear all the inner workings of a store and all the BS just to buy a set of laundry machines. Fast forward to the end of July and I just finally gave up and asked for a refund, which I wish I would have done in the beginning when I saw how poorly they operate their store and how little they care about keeping the customers informed about what is going on and the co-dependency they expect their clientele to deal with. I tried to buy local. Obviously these people care less about their business than I did. No more. Not going in that store ever again. I will be purchasing my washer and dryer from a professional company who cares about retaining...
