Image Maker Beauty Institute — Attraction in Hendersonville

Ok. So my last review was under my partners profile. So here’s mine. You’re wrong about the “No Profanity was used on your part”, part as well. No you did not speak when I picked up the refund. But you did cuss me over the phone. All because I did not want to come back the next week to so called get it fixed. Allison told me if it was not what I wanted to call you and it was not. Also, in the past so-called “patterns of refunds I have” umm you must have not looked closely at your records or you have two Crystal Griffin’s or have created a false one knowing you. The last time I was there was with Mrs. Marsha which was over 2 years ago. I not only paid in full but gave her a $40 tip. Then one time you told me that the service was free I did not ask for a free service! So get that straight. Other salons in the area I have either canceled with or decided not to return! I have a dedicated stylist that’s out of the country that far surpasses anything done in Images or Imagemaker beauty institute. So I’m sure you are speaking of images. Because no one else in any area has ever received a bad review in the arts, nail shops or hair styling industry. They all love me and I only have left bad reviews where bad reviews are warranted. THATS why 99% of the reviews I’ve given were positive. Your part of the 1% obviously. So your accusations against me are unprofessional and horrendous. I was asking for a partial payment because I took a picture of my hair before I left and after I returned and the haircut is the best part, I paid for, there are still greys in the top of my head which you instructed her to use that color brown on which wasn’t done, I was charged for a $50 bolayage and 10 extra additional applications which wasn’t done by the look of my hair. I have Never had a “problem paying” I only came there after 2 plus years because of my personal hairstylist being unavailable as I’ve said. So, Miss Paula you are the one that instead of talking to me in a normal manner. If you had just let me speak instead of angrily saying “well then come get your damn refund!” This might have turned out differently. Also I have it recorded if the owner would like to hear the conversation. Most importantly I AM NOT A SCAM or Scammer lady! Thats a defamation case you do not want! There are many Shane Page profiles in this world and I do not use nor have I used any other salon in the Hendersonville area! So you can try and accuse people. My best friend is a stylist and has done my hair for the past 13 years. I have followed her all over Nashville to/from multiple salons, but she recently moved to Knoxville. I’ve been to Image Maker before, when a neighbor of mine about to graduate the program and asked for friends to make appointments with her. I took a chance and wasn’t thrilled with the result then. So when Kylei shared that she was going through the same program and that she was able to take clients, I made an appointment. Kylei asked what I was wanting to do, but I don’t know the “right” terminology for things, so I asked my best friend what she does and passed it along to Kylei. I told her I don’t like brassy blonde, I like the cooler blonde colors and I am a low-maintenance girl who only comes to the salon two or three times a year, so I need a root smudge to help with grow out, etc. Kylei responded “oh, ok! I know exactly what she means. I can definitely do that!” I went into my appointment hopeful, but a little wary just because it’s a school where everyone is still learning. I have known and LOVED Kylei for many years (see attached pics😍) but I’ll be totally honest and say I went in prepared that my results might not be totally perfect…

…which was completely unnecessary because SHE NAILED IT! I was blown away. She’s only been in school since when?!? I’m GENUINELY IMPRESSED at how amazing she did! I texted my bestie a photo and she said “oh wow! She did awesome!” Kylei walked me through the process as she went, making sure I was comfortable. There were several other students in the salon that day who kept coming by to compliment her work. I LOVE my hair, but I LOVE Kylei even more and am SO PROUD that my sweet flower girl is all grown up, making her way in the world and doing incredible things!! Love you, sweetheart. ❤️ I know I am family, but I feel I’ve been honest and will wholeheartedly praise everything you EVER do and beg people to come trust you with their hair any day of the week!! 😘

P.S. Kylei styled my hair super cute that day also told me that the salon charges a MINIMAL amount just to style? She said people come in all the time to get their hair shampooed and styled for a date or other event and it costs about the same as you would pay for a drive through meal. I called today to ask if they can perm my hair. I asked all the questions that were relevant. I live 45 minutes away. I drove up there. I made the appointment for 2 pm. I was there a little over 40 minutes before the appointment . As I walked in I didn’t get a good vibe. I approached the front desk and waited for them to acknowledge me. I spoke to the young lady and asked if I had spoke to her about getting my hair done. The instructor that what standing there stated right off the back that they can’t do my hair because I had highlights in my hair. She stated it’s their policy. Anyway the young lady who was going to do my hair came and got me. I explained her what I was getting done. She told me we are going to the wash station. She sat me down and took off. Then she came back and washed my hair and told me to go sit at her station. Then she came back with the same instructor and the instructor said we can’t perm your hair. I asked to speak with the supervisor. I don’t know where their professionalism is. Because she was rude. They wasted my time and gas to drive up there to tell me they can’t do my hair. Was it because of my race, my color because I felt it. I have never been disrespectful this way. And I won’t ever go to a place where I am paying and get treated like this. She kept saying you have highlights in your hair. Lady get your lie straight I had colored my hair a long time ago and it was growing out. Do you not know the difference between highlights and colored hair. They are racist and I went there because someone can learn and earn credits. I could easily go to another salon and pay someone to do my hair. People don’t get fooled and disrespected. Learn to speak up for yourself instead of taking there BS.
