I had the chance to dine at Flavors of India on their inaugural dinner service, and overall it was a wonderful first impression.
I arrived right at opening (5:00 p.m.) and was seated almost immediately. The chairs at the table were stylish but a bit tight-fitting, something to note if you prefer a little extra room. The restaurant itself had a warm, inviting atmosphere with the delicious smell of curry greeting me as soon as I walked in. The lighting didn’t come on until around 5:20, but considering it was opening night, those details are easy to overlook.
Within about six minutes I was served water and handed a hefty menu with plenty of options. By 5:15, my order was taken, and I chose the “Marry Me Chicken” at medium spice. When the dish arrived around 5:30, it was beautifully presented—served on a sleek black plate with a gold spoon that made the colors of the food pop. It came with two red leaf lettuce leaves as garnish, which looked nice but didn’t pair well once the hot food touched them.
Flavor-wise, the dish was fantastic. While I ordered medium heat, it leaned more toward mild, but it was still rich and full of depth. I especially recommend ordering the cheese naan—mine was still piping hot even at 5:50 and perfect for scooping up the leftover sauce.
The only drawback of the evening was the service pacing. After finishing my meal, I waited about 25 minutes before anyone came by. When they did, I was asked to pay at the counter instead of at the table. It created an interesting blend of upscale presentation with a small-town café approach.
All in all, I loved the food and will definitely be back soon. With some fine-tuning on service speed (which I expect will smooth out quickly after opening night), this place could easily be a five-star standout in...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I attended this restaurant on the second day they opened 9/5/2025. we heard were in the market to try a new restaurant and this seemed like the perfect place. upon entry we were unsure about where to meet with the hostess for a table she seemed to just be walking around and when she noticed she'd come over. she asked for our name and told us it would be a 35 minute wait, we decided to wait because the food looked pretty good. at the thirty minute mark she told us our table was ready. we sat at the table without being greeted for about twenty minutes finally someone came with water and then fifteen minutes after that we practically begged for menus. at the hour and a half mark of us being at the restaurant we noticed that tables that had been there longer than us were still waiting and getting food. oddly enough two tables sat down around my boyfriend and i and one table received food without ordering and a table that sat down after we begged for menus were happily eating their appetizers. after all this time we still hadn't had our order taken and when we waved down a waiter we placed our order after nearly an hour and 45 minutes we waited a few and realized we were gonna be there for a long while so we cancelled our food and had to leave. The restaurant seems family owned and operated and there wasn't enough staff to maintain the restaurant. The kitchen seemed very stressed and out of order. I heard people say the food that they have received tasted good though. I would return just to try the food maybe when they are able to handle the demand of...
Read moreI have been so excited about this place for the past couple of weeks! I knew when it was going to open i would be there and boy it did not disappoint. First thing you noticed when you walk in the smell of the spices of the food and the warm space. The seating and colors gorgeous 😍.
Anyways obviously I ordered a mango lassi....cause you know you have to. While my mom ordered a chai. And you know exactly what you expect but im a firm believer a good fun drink sets the tone for whats to come. Which let me tell you the experience got better. For dinner we ordered butter chicken Masala (medium heat) and tikka Masala lamb (mild heat) with garlic naan and rice. Now spice levels honestly for me not as spicy but I can handle spice well, so what maybe not spicy to me....may be spicy to someone else so keep that in mind. Either way the flavors were so good, like depths of flavor. The chicken not dry and the lamb not gamey and both very tender. The rice fluffy, the garlic naan....so good. Like yum. But the dessert was the most fun we got what was called rasmalai. Which was to me a rice cake that was puddingy with condensed milk with pistachio. But dont quote me on the rice cake either way it was super light and refreshing after that meal. Now it did have a rose flavor so if you're not a fan of rose you may not enjoy it. Some people may find it soapy but your girl here....love it. The Staff were super friendly and on top of it. Just honestly i had a lovely experience and...
