Ming Kitchen — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Ordered pickup Oct 5th at 6pm. Charged $32, I was not satisfied with my order. Sweet n sour chicken with beef fried rice; the chicken was chewy on the outside,tough on the inside and not crunchy at all, supposedly fried. The rice was not fried at all, just mushy. Chicken on a stick; meat looked appetizing, coated in panko breadcrumbs, was nice and crunchy looking but, the meat was tough and hard to remove from the stick, tiny strips of wood came off with my chicken. Crab Rangoon; was the best thing out of all this food. Crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside,delicious. All in all, I will not be going back here. You would think at that time they'd be busy and the food would be fresh. Everything except the Rangoon was obviously refried, as in re-cooked old food. You can see in the picture the peas are shriveled, and the rice looks gummy. This usually only happens when you refrigerate fried rice. When you reheat it they shrivel and the rice gets gummy from the steam. They tried to cover the flavor/texture issue with soy sauce. I was really hoping to find a new Chinese restaurant since Fortune House had to close. If they could actually make the food fresh, that...

I've tried this place a few times(delivery). The food here is good, but not great. I love Chinese food and have had some great Chinese food while living in Hawaii and California, but I can only say this is good. The pricing on this is equivalent to a more upscale Chinese restaurant for no reason. The coconut shrimp is good but they're a little stengy on the sauce. It's also overpriced.

Also, door dash delivery on this used to be free with dash pass. Now it has an $8 delivery even with dash pass. There are still restaurants listed farther away that's $0 with dash pass, but yours is closer and is $8 for some reason. Not sure why restaurants that are farther away are $0 with dash pass but yours isn't... I can't justify $8 delivery fee on top of $4+ on door dash fees, plus $6 on driver tip.. That comes out to like $16 of a base service/delivery fee not including the food.. Due to the ridiculous delivery fee, I am not ordering from...

I had this delivered and regretted it!

The best thing about this meal was the egg rolls. The egg rolls had lots of flavor without being overwhelming. I'm a sucker for a good egg roll, and they definitely delivered. Everything else went in the garbage.

The rice had zero flavor. This would've made sense given the sauce on the chicken. The chicken had great flavor and a decent crust. Yet, it was as tough as old boots and staler than nun's love life. I was chewing so hard that I gave myself a headache. There was so much pressure build up that my ears popped like I was lifting off!

Don't get me wrong, if it had been fresh, it would've easily been a 4 or a 5; but my goodness, what I had had to have been scraped from yesterday's steamtable, frozen, refried and re-sauced....
