My partner booked massages for us here in December. When the date rolled around, it had snowed so we called to make sure no appointments were canceled. The receptionist did not ask for any of our information and just shortly told me appointments would go forward as usual. But when we arrived we were told (very rudely) by the same receptionist that my appointment was canceled and that she would have contacted me but had none of my information on file. My partner had booked the appointments, so her information was supposed to be connected to mine. But she never received a call. We decided to reschedule and again the receptionist was incredibly rude about it. I wound up having a conflict and canceled my appointment (I’m glad I did so without rescheduling), but my partner went ahead with hers. She, again, felt the same receptionist was incredibly short with her- seems to hate her job. The massage she had was also not great. She asked for light pressure and repeatedly told the therapist the pressure was painful. She left sore and not at all relaxed. She said she felt like she’d fought a wild cat for an hour and was literally bruised. Will not...
Read moreMy first and last time here — and I am a very forgiving person. This place really missed the mark. I booked a 90-minute massage, arrived early, and still started late and ended early, so I didn’t receive the full time I paid for. The environment was not relaxing — music cutting out, kids screaming next door at the barber shop, no aromatherapy, and no water offered before or after, which is just basic spa courtesy. It definitely felt rushed for a Friday.
Checkout came with unnecessary attitude about the healthcare worker discount, even though I offered my professional license. And the cherry on top: when I realized I left my ring in the room, I was told by the front desk I’d have to wait an entire session to get it back. So I sat in the lobby for an hour hoping no one walked off with it. (Thankfully it wasn’t my wedding ring.) A simple quick room check between clients could have avoided that entirely.
LO AND BEHOLD, it turns out there was not a client in the room and I waited an hour for no reason which was frustrating to say the least.
The massage itself was okay, but the overall experience lacked hospitality, respect, and basic care....
Read moreFirst, I purchased a groupon for "Nashville", but I thought I would try it any way. I then purchased a package of sessions because I enjoyed the experience. The second visit, the male therapist kept making religious comments and I thought that was a bit weird but I just tuned it out and tried to relax. I went a few more times with the therapist continuing to push his religious views and continue you to invite me to his church. I did not like that but I let it go. The final straw was when his wife, who is also a therapist, calls me and tells me to not wear a sun dress again. She said my full length sundress was inappropriate and made the other patients uncomfortable. I never saw a single patient when I was there other than the couple that worked there. I think my sundress made her uncomfortable for some reason. The one good thing I will say is that when I told her that I would not be back and wanted a refund, after apologizing she did return the remaining balance on my account. I still can't believe a business owner would call a client to tell them not to...
