On Monday, July 28th, my daughter attended a scheduled appointment at 12:45 p.m. for a hair color (black), haircut, and styling/blowout. By 3:52 p.m., she contacted me to inform me that only the hair coloring had been completed and that she was asked to return at 5:30 p.m. to finish the styling portion. At this point, neither the haircut nor the styling had been completed. Due to other obligations, she was unable to return later in the day and had to finish styling her hair at home on her own.
The next day, Tuesday, July 29th, while completing her hair, she realized that the color applied was not black as requested, but rather still allowed her natural brown tones to show through.
I contacted the school around 5:06 p.m. that same day and initially spoke with a representative who then transferred me to the manager on duty. The manager answered the call with a dismissive tone, asking how she could help me, without any indication that she had been properly briefed on the situation. When I asked if she was familiar with the issue, she confirmed that she was and stated that the school would be willing to redo the color, as that was the only service for which my daughter was charged.
However, during my initial conversation with the phone representative, I had been told my daughter was charged for hair color, two additional bowls, and a haircut. This inconsistency in communication is unacceptable.
I acknowledged that while my daughter may not have been charged for the full list of services, the bottom line remains that she left the appointment with incomplete servicesāno haircut and no proper stylingāand an unsatisfactory hair color. I then requested, in good faith, that along with redoing the color, her hair be flat-ironed, considering she had to complete the styling herself at home using her own tools and time. The manager refused this request in a hostile tone, which I found to be unprofessional and uncalled for.
Frustrated by the managerās dismissive attitude, I did respond emotionally and used inappropriate language, for which I take responsibility. Nevertheless, the manager escalated the situation further and abruptly disconnected the call. I attempted to call back several times to request her name and the contact information for corporate, but my calls went unanswered.
I am extremely disappointed by both the quality of service and the lack of professionalism displayed by the management staff. This experience has caused inconvenience and frustration for both my daughter and myself, and I feel the situation was not handled with the care or courtesy expected from an educational institution committed to customer service and professional development.
I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and addressed appropriately. A resolution that includes not only correcting the color but also compensating for the incomplete styling would be fair under the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a loyal Paul Mitchell customer since the age of about 10 years old. This was my first time at this location as I moved from out of state and iām absolutely heartbroken over how my hair left from my experience there and cannot stop crying. I came in wanting to go blonde with some dimension which is something my hair is use to. Starting out it looked fine but they started adding color after lightening my hair and I knew it was too dark from the second I saw it. When I asked why it was so dark they said it would lighten up after being washed out and would be the blonde I was looking for. When my hair was done it was darker than it was when I arrived and the teacher was trying to gaslight me into thinking it wasnāt. The students all said it was darker than when I arrived (now itās a super DARK brown) and recommended multiple blonding specialists to fix my hair as they said āno one here will be able to fix it. weāre so sorryā. After calling MULTIPLE spots and emailing back and forth with images of my hair I am looking at HUNDREDS of dollars to fix my hair and even then they canāt guarantee they can lift the dark and make me blonde before my engagement pictures and graduation for my masters degree (one is two weeks away the other is seven). The teacher not only lied and said it was lighter and looked good but they then tried to charge me for multiple services I DIDNT GET like a hair cut, blowout, etc. When I called her out for charging me for services I didnāt receive she looked shocked I said something and removed the charges. I still paid almost $100 for my hair to look HORRIFIC and nothing at all like what I wanted. The best they could do is say they can squeeze me in next week but 1. I donāt think i should spend $106 (my quote WITHOUT extra bowls and I would need multiple extras) for them to fix their own mistake and 2. go in on a day that doesnāt work for me due to work. I am horrified by my experience here as i have NEVER been to a Paul Mitchell that messed up my hair let alone RUIN it AND I have never been charged more than $100 for my hair services being done correctly at every other location iāve been too let alone more than that to fix their own mistakes. i have been crying hysterically since I left and feel like my hair is ruined for two of the most important events I have in my lifetime. i canāt even put into words how terrible my hair looks and how heavy my heart is knowing my hair will look this terrible for my engagement pictures and masters degree graduation. PLEASE do not go here for anything more than a basic service as I put my trust into everyone working on my hair and was left devastated and out of money with AWFUL hair. 1st photo is my hair now, second photo is the inspiration picture they said they could...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHere goes...The interior of the school is very calming. Black everywhere, with ceiling star lighting and loud contemporary music. You register at the reception desk and are asked to wait on a leather bench near by. Soon, a stylist comes to get you and show you to her/his station. A teacher joins the student and everyone discusses what's going to happen. Once established the teacher goes on about her/his business. I went in today for a touch up to the color I had. When finished I went from a smokey carmel color to a mahogany red. The instructor told me the color she picked out would look just like the color I came in with. Because they failed to write down what they colored my hair with last, they were guessing. Not once, in the 4 times I have been there with a color, did any instructor or the student wipe off some hair dye to see what the hair looked like - what the color looked like. Once the student is given the OK on the color or procedure, that's the last you see of the instructor until you're ready to leave.
Actually I find the students really sweet and helpful. They are trying, but the learning process they're being taught is really outdated. They don't have enough floor supervision.
The prices are great. Half off on all prices Monday and Tuesday, so my hair color is $12.50. $1.75 more than a box of color at Walgreens and I have to do it myself. The school provides a great way to save money on hair and the atmosphere is upgeat.
here's the real clincher and I ranted about it today. When getting your hair washed, if you're not at least six feet tall, you hold on to the arms of the chair and push with your feet and arms to pull yourself back up to the bowl to have my head washed. No other way. They need chairs that accommodate the customers and make it easier on the students to wash the hair. If they can get it together to keep a record of the color that works for you, then you can't beat the price and you don't have to be a brain surgeon to color hair. Give it a shot. Monday and Tuesdays...
