There are two parts to this campground. They have nice grassy sites and full hookup sites in one large parking lot. We stayed on the parking lot sites but I felt that the people nearby were very friendly and made staying there a bit more fun. You can get privacy if you want it but I liked the community. One note for full hook ups is that one side the sewer connections are uphill about 20ft for me less if your connection is at the back of the trailer. Hermann offers lots to do and see with wineries and festivals. They have a very cool downtown area as well. Reserving a site is easy by a phone call but not a lot of info on their site or about individual sites. 1-17 are grassy and 18-? Are one large parking lot. Folks on the phone are friendly but they require you mail a check and cannot take credit cards online or via phone. If they could correct the online presence it would be great but as a city campground I am not sure they could easily...

Although it is well maintained with clean facilities, it’s basically camping in a parking lot where you can reach out and touch your neighbor. One who was playing country music outdoor til after 11 pm. The young local boys love to hot rod through at night with their trucks shouting greetings at the campers. They show off with their friends standing in the bed of the trucks while racing in and out of the campground. Very Risky. We just weren’t expecting any of that. We like to camp in more wooded, quiet, private grounds. It’s a popular place to hook up your camper for the pricey convenience of staying in the city park of Hermann, close to wineries and...

A fantastic basecamp to see all that Hermann has to offer. We were on the east side of the parking lot which backs to a basketball court and two playgrounds. The kids had a blast running wild and riding bikes and we could relax at the camper and see them the whole time. Would definitely recommend for families with small kids. Full hook ups worked perfectly and it was much easier to park and set up than I thought it might be. Just a 1 minute drive to downtown Hermann to park and walk to everything. Village Market is just 2 minutes away. Have lived in St. Louis area for 15 years and never heard about this campground, but now we plan to come back...

The park is conveniently located and used by locals and out- of- towners alike. A well maintained swimming pool and baseball diamond are favorites. Our 1st campsite was in the 19-43 section. These back-in sites aren't wide enough to put out an awning. It felt very crowded. Our 2nd site was in the 1-18 section. It rained, and our site was inundated with about 3 inches of water. The next morning, the water had receded somewhat, but it made breaking camp a soggy mess. I guess I expect more for $40 @ night. Still, any chance to stay and enjoy Hermann is a plus!

Great for campers because the town caters to out of towners. They have closed down the parking area near the basketball court for the towns people during popular times, they have a sign that says if you aren't a camper and your vehicle is parked there that it could be towed. Kinda great if you have kids, they have play equipment and they have a Dino dig area to dig for little treasures. The pool during summer is great to swim at but it is only open to the public from 12-6/7pm, but does offer swim lessons and other lessons and for pool parties

Full hook ups at all sites. No reservations first come first serve. You pay $30 per night on the honor system. Beautiful big trees, pet friendly, bathroom, dumpsters. Walking distance to many attractions in Herman. They don't take reservations but you can put up a reservation for site on the posts at each site. Weekends are pretty much booked due to festivals. But during the week it's pretty open. Most sites are back in but there are also drive through. We stayed two days and loved it here.
